Flinty,
Thanks for that very informative reply.
You sound like you know what's goin' on all right!
If I'm honest a Deus wouldn't be my first, second or even third choice for the beach!
S'funny but, Cocoa Beach was the first beach I ever stopped at many years before I actually moved to Florida and lived on the beach (Gulf Coast)
Back then it was ' a lil bet s

"I liked it!
What it does have is GOOD Audio.
Can't stand videos with poor audio.
Kinda reminds me of my own testing when I threw 'weighted' CTX' in the water and retrieving them several hours later! (of course I waded & snorkelled with them as well)...even verified the GPS worked when submerged (about a foot or so)
Well done Steve...look fwd to some mor

The backpack / bag that came with the "Racer" does it for me.
But today carried 2 Minelab bags - Excal in the morning to the beach - C Scope afternoon to a field.
Contained within were a Canon HD camcorder, a Go Pro, tripods, diggers, headphones, spare batteries, gloves, hats, ski pants (really windproof and warm) 2 Thermos bottles, water, sandwiches etc.
Phew... I really should

"Hi Bob,
It's not a case of "how should I search for it?" it's more like "Which detector will be sensitive enough to the minimum metal in the physical body of the camera?"
But it appears like "Good News" because I just did a few 'quick tests' for you on my original "HERO Go-Pro" and both a "multi-frequency" detector

To answer your Q.
I tested all models Minelab introduced between 1999 - 2014
Let's take the CTX as an example: a mock-up model was taken into the field and subjected to days of rigorous usage: this was all filmed by myself:
Observations were passed to the Engineering Team and physical changes were made. A working model was then supplied and again taken out into the field for many mon

"I don't agree.
In all my days dealing with Customers and Sales Enquiries, no one ever asked about Warranties.
The only time they asked was if and when they wanted to sell within the 1st Owner Warranty period.
XP sell on and not Warranty.
Just my 2c worth.

"Why does it have to be an ID type machine?
Forget the ID's and dig all and any of the Switch-on-and-Go machines will do!
But consider Garrett Ace, X-Terra 305, Tesoro Compadre" but not the Go-Find's
IF your Budget could teach higher my Highest Recommendation would be fund a Troy Shadow X5

Large gold rings will hit "high" on the CO side
12 FE probably - I can't check now as my heavy rings in lock box.
So, FE 12 CO 34,35,36
BUT, expect 'other ID's" using Ground Coin and
off the wall iron ID's in Ferrous Coin
