I am in Chico, Seems like a nice town to live in. It could use a couple of really nice detector shops with knowledgeable people running them. (boy, there's a pipe dream)

After moving here (northern Cal.) about two years ago, I realized I needed some new research material. Looking through my own library, I came across this map book of a part of the Mother lode area. It shows maps of the 1880's and the 1980's. It shows where the old mines, camps, trading posts, stage stops, etc, used to be. A lot of fresh sites to hunt. If any of you guys hunt these area,

I was hoping by now I would have a new Treasuremaster. I wanted to put about 30+ hours on it so I could do a shop and field review on the unit. Just from looking at the specs, I can see some positive aspects, and possibly a negative one or two. As soon as I get one and put the time on it, I will do a write-up and let you guys know what I find. But at this moment my finances won't allow it.

First of all, Makro is wrong. It is a correctable defect. I had the same problem when I was a young boy. My mom took care of the problem by duct taping my ears down to my head eve

So I was just wondering what's going on with the new Treasuremaster detectors from White's. I don't see much activity on the forums about them. I've noticed there are a few online dealers that list the Treasuremaster for sale , but not the Treasuremaster Pro. No field reviews, not even any discussions, has anyone bought one? I called a very well known Whites dealer yesterday

In a very weak moment in my life, I sold my little hotrod to a very good friend of mine. Oh well, no use crying over spilled diet Dew. I'm looking for another one to play with.
Del, If I still had it, heck ya I'd race.

I don't know if I would say they were "most valuable", but some of my more enjoyable vintage detectors I have owned would be a fisher CZ5, Compass Gold Scanner Pro, White's XLT, Wilson Con Select.
But the one detector that found me the most silver coins of all.......GoldMaster 66TR. That detector could literally
talk to you. It had it's own language. I believe I bought
