I am sure the biggest value Whites had was the patent and prototypes of the half sine hybrid nugget detector that white was not able to bring to market after Carl left it in their lap. Plus the machinery needed to build Whites detectors, they had a cool circuit board populator and soldering machine. State of art stuff. That fire sale was just the clunker stuff sittin in the shadows. I am with Goo

Perhaps a September release. 8,000.00 AUD So 5711.00 USD. For that price in todays perilous times it better exhibit some serious advancement in sensitivity and depth.

I thought perhaps the Minelab Equinox encroached on the CZX project with certain patents that did not allow them to complete the CZX Nugget machine.

I think Whites is still a very viable company and will be soon bought by someone willing to put in the hard work the old owner obviously didn't want to do. They have the latest surface mount circuitboard technology machine, they have a lot of good tech assemblers, and the in house tech ability is second to none, they have or had machinists on hand for building jigs etc for individual detect

I agree with Wayfarer. Love my MXT Pro, have bought and run the equinox 800. That was my latest delving into new tech for coin/jewelry/nuggets. Didn't care for it.

Loved all the older detector ad's, I remember having the first RB-7 SPD around here, was really scooping up the silver for awhile til the slow motion swing deeper machines by whites showed up. The spd Rb-7 had to be swung fast and it would go deeper than the older tr at the time, most those early tr machines your lucky to have gotten 3" depth from. I think I was getting 5-6" from t

Get some of the red dirt from australia its probably the worst, and some red dirt in calif in the gold fields its pretty hot too. It will run the GB up to the limit on a GB2

I have always thought that I would love to own and use a pi tiny nugget detector, rather than my GB2 since pi is so much quieter on the gold fields. I am really curious how his future nugget machine will turn out, the super quiet circuitry as well as the 7 usec could be a deadly combination on the gold fields, there is a lot to building nugget detectors in pi form, I hope he has all the bases co

I was over on Car's forum recently chatting about nuances between digital and analog detectors, Carl says the new digital format allows for greater leeway in creating the nuances than analog design. That is good news. I personally love the nuances in my Gold Bug 2 when nugget detecting, it will zip zip over a good target, and it will "boing" over a hot rock, that alone is valuable,

Something I noticed about the original Manta was this:
Connector Type TDI, it accepts all coils (mono) of TDI / GPX
With the strange coil connector this may not be happening anymore on the current AQ?
Also a question, does the AQ have some sort of auto ground balance?
If Fisher builds a nugget version of this machine I sure hope its in the 21 st century with auto ground balance. M

I believe that Minelab will capitalize on the Multi IQ and will be releasing more new machines with this in mind. Perhaps a Multi IQ dedicated nugget machine, dedicated Multi IQ coin/jewelry machine, etc. There is a huge market for dedicated gold machines worldwide right now they won't ignore that.

I just got in on a special for the online magazine from Eastern Western Treasures, its pretty easy to negotiate the pages and read stuff. I have already gotten two issues since subscribing online only. I think we are down to only a couple magazines left with a physical paper copy available, Mining Journal and Gold Prospector with GPAA. I always loved reading the treasure related magazines over th

Two reasons to re-buy machines to me would be, do you need lighter weight machine for your health? And will you need to dig deeper than 10" regularly to make decent finds? I don't relic hunt and the parks where I jewlery/coin hunt, most the finds are within 5" of the surface and my MXT Pro still does fine there. Its good to 10". With smaller coils.

Let us know how the Gold Kruzer goes, I am curious. I sold my GB2 last fall and am in the market for a new vlf nugget machine after trying the nox and not liking it for small nugget hunting. I hunt 90% of the time with my gpx4500 but also run a vlf for tiny nuggets. I have been leaning to buying the GM1000. For simplicity. I will buy some new vlf by springtime. Before I head for Nevada nugget de

Relco 12T BFO Kit detector that once assembled worked using an am radio for the signal. Found lots of junk with it we had a burned down cabin on the property.

I really like the fact that this new machine has everything up front on the screen available to the eye at any given time, no layered menus! Hurry up and build us prospectors a nugget machine!!!!

I don't think knob detectors are dead at all, I love my gpx4500 with switches and knobs, as well as my mxt pro, great machines. I think knobs and switches could be integrated into more new tech software driven machines and setup would be far easier.

Will the new TDI waterproof machine have the faster timing like the Manta? I think this is the secret to the Manta machine. 6.5-7 usec timing. Makes the machine super sensitive to gold.

Honestly I don't think I would invest in a detector with cell phone style electronics, the lifespan I would think would be limited to just a few yrs. Compared to more conventional electronics used in detectors now.

I had a similar experience last summer in a high sierra forest, we were buried way off the highway about 15 miles on an old gold producing area, once we got to where my buddy said a lot of large nuggets had already been found in the past, off we went in different directions detecting, first thing happened was my detector started acting weird, so I checked the settings, sure enough wacked out sett

My best guess would be the CZX nugget detector will be the first new tech machine to market from Fisher. Minelab already beat them to the market with an "automatic" nugget detector, but there is no new tech to speak of in that machine.
