Anyone who thinks thin skinned Stevie represents Minelab is an ignorant fool. Typical of the gutless types that hide behind fake screen names and a keyboard though, thinking they are oh so brave as they attempt smear others from their own anonymous ivory towers.

"Just an FYI= no loss." Wow, talk about biting the hand that feeds you.
OK David (TNSharpshooter), since you decided to air your dirty laundry here, let’s get at least one thing straight. You were and are banned from my forum, for various reasons. Not least is the fact you don’t like that I have opinions and express them. There is no rule that says

Well, I was not trying to start anything. I thought you just tried to get your idea going with this thread, and kind of got told reasons why it was not hoping to happen. So I offered an alternative, but kind of regret it now, as it looks like I'm trying to steal away something from this forum. It's the internet, you can have your cake and at it too, so I don't understand the commen

Beroxy, I get it, you just want the core info, without the fluff. Start the same thread on the Tarsacci Forum at the link below, and I will be more than happy to moderate/delete superfluous posts.

The GPX 5000 was the last Minelab PI with a discrimination control. It is more a surface blanking effect that does not work at depth, but is better than nothing. Ironstone is not a discrimination issue, but a ground balance/hot rock rejection issue. GeoSense may just tune them out.
The GPZ 7000 and now GPX 6000 have no discrimination control. You still get the tones in reference to the ground

I used to do ounce plus days. Then half ounce. Then quarter ounce. Now I tend to average about 2 grams a day, half ounce a week. That’s an average per day, but close per week. Any new good find can change things, but I find that shooting for a half ounce a week is realistic for me at this stage of the game. It’s kind of leveled off as there are always small nuggets to find, but the big ones that

I rarely post outside home base these days, but this is a equipment forum, and this is a new detector. The GPX 6000 is not aimed at you all, but there are some of you that should know about what it offers. For what it was worth, I worked on SDC 2300, Gold Monster, GPZ 7000, Equinox, Vanquish, and now the 6K.
The GPX 6000 is a PI that simplifies and automates the settings to the largest degree

No worries Aaron, I'm plenty relaxed. I stand 100% by what I'm saying.... increasing the salinity setting will cause many small gold items to lose depth or be lost entirely. That's it, nothing more to say or prove. Do continue on, and thank you for the effort and time you put into your videos and in educating people about the MDT.
I'll let some of the intrepid testers on th

That proves nothing. I can tune any VLF to drop some aluminum and still find gold all day long. It's often beneficial to eliminate small foil to concentrate on the gold that is unaffected. OK, so you can do that - I get it.
I never said you can't find small gold with the Tarsacci. I said that increasing the salinity to eliminate aluminum is not without risks for losing gold. I am not

Yeah in my tests I as I increased salinity I had gold items drop out both during and even before the aluminum drops out, so no, I'm not buying it. The MDT does not know the difference between gold and aluminum. It only sees phase and/or decay, and the overlap between aluminum and gold is completely continuous in both domains. Any idea that you can eliminate aluminum with no risk of eliminati

Since the idea is being floated that anyone interested in this Limited version model is a sheep being lead to slaughter, I thought I'd weigh in.
I'm an experienced user of ground balancing pulse induction technology for quite some time now. I'm quite familiar with the tech and what it can and can't do. I'm familiar with the lineage of this detector and therefore the po

I always hunt on Rcvy Spd 2 because of what Tom said.
So is it your opinion the recovery speed setting serves no function? That Minelab should have left the control off the Equinox? Why did they not just preset the machine at 2 since that is always the best setting no matter what?

On all targets under all ground conditions? No. Global application of out of context information.

I agree with Paul that the MX Sport is a very good detector - now. But if you buy used I would stay away from anything made in the first year (2016-2017). The introduction was a disaster, software was a mess, pod leak issues, and battery case breakage issues. Not kidding, the worst intro I have witnessed in my 45 years in the industry. All issues were covered under warranty and have since been fi

The new Goldmaster 24K is arguably the best new VLF gold nugget detector on the market. They may have issues but White’s is not dead yet.

It was not that long ago that we accepted that we all live in a democracy where people have different views. The idea was that while we may disagree, we are all citizens of a great country who want what we each think is best for the country. Our system of government assumes that when a majority takes one view, that the minority will accept that in a democracy that is how things work.
Now both

Many of you have already had a corona virus. There are already four variants endemic in the United States that cause around 1/4 of the colds we catch every year. It’s likely many people who think they have had the flu have instead had a corona virus. Like this latest version they can cause pneumonia and then death. So no, this is not some brand new never been seen before thing like it’s being mad

Yes. Better target id at depth, less upscaling, better saltwater performance, to name a few.

The GMX Sport is a rebadged 48 kHz Goldmaster 24K - a 24K stuffed in the MX Sport housing. All controls and performance are identical to the 24K and coils are interchangeable between the 24K and GMX. The Goldmaster 24K has so far had two coils available, a 6"

Just an FYI to some who sometimes don't know the ramifications of what they are asking. Some NDAs include stipulations that specifically state that you will not disclose that you have signed an NDA or anything else to reveal a project even exists or that you are involved in it. You might consider that declining to answer questions sometimes is an answer, and also consider that nobody owes yo

I am certain I already know the answer for my high mineral beach locations. Low mineral white sand will be a more complex equation however as VLF type detectors perform at their best and no matter how good the Impulse is the VLF type units will have better discrimination. It will come down to a judgement call of just how much extra depth is worth digging how much extra trash. I suspect as always

That’s the cut to the chase assessment I have been waiting for from somebody with extensive use of both the Equinox and Tarsacci. Thanks!
