Very informative video by the designer of the Rutus Versa about the new firmware NC 2.44 the final part of the video shows the new feature Small Target Boost which helps with low conductors in red highly mineralized soil.
If you are sitting on the fence thinking about purchasing a Versa for your bad soil check it out.

Some of the UK users of the Versa are reporting that the Versa is not that deep a unit can you confirm this ? or are your findings different ? is the Versa on a par with the Manticore Deus 2 or Legend depth wise ?

Would the Deus 2 have got a signal on the earing back if it had not been in a polythene bag? surely the wet sand in direct contact with the metal would make it a harder target to hit ? maybe you could try it again with a piece of string on the earing back ?

Maybe Dimitar only got the patent (if still not pending) for single frequency separate salt balance (Mixed Domain?) and XP have filed for th

To check if its not the distrurbed sand causing a false signal cut a notch in a wood dowel (with inch marks on) at 45 degrees and put a nickle in the notch then insert the wood dowel into the sand at 45 degrees until it reads 14 inches then try the D2 again

If you hunt with another Tarsacci user make sure you do your ground balance a good distance away from the other unit as we have found that the Tarsacci's will not ground balance if another Tarsacci unit is close by.
