That's great news Tom. I was hoping for the full amount for you so you wouldn't have to add any. I hope you find some amazing things with the Deus 11 and amazing things about it also. I'll be watching with interest especially beach hunting info. Looks like it will be a year or two before I can visit the S.C. beaches so I have time :-) Getting too old for dirt digging with all the

Correction... It seems Paypal does charge a minimum fee for sending a gift. I was going by old information. Sorry for the mistake.

I have received an email from Tom D. for those who would like to gift funds for the Deus ll project. You can do so through Paypal. You do not have to have an account at Paypal to do so. If you mark "gift" when you send it there will be no charge to you or Tom.

Don't feel bad if you can't donate anything fellows. I know Tom would most definitely not want someone to make it hard on themselves just for him. My dad used to say "It's not that things cost so much, it's that the money is worth so little".
I think there's enough generous people here that could give 5 or 10 dollars each to add up to what would be needed fo

In the original post "Setting up Deus ll program to mimic CZ3d?", some here are showing an interest in gifting Tom with a donation so that he can purchase a Deus ll for testing. As you all know, this is not an inexpensive detector so any and all who would like to contribute to the cause can do so in that post or this one. I wanted to make this post so that everyone could see the subject

Thanks Techman. That's two of us willing to gift NASA Tom a donation towards the purchase a Deus ll for testing for us.
I have communicated with Tom and he was very grateful towards all who would do such a thing for him. He did not ask me to post this nor was this his ideal. I just think it would be a humble way of showing Tom our thanks and appreciation for all his work and dedication h

Thanks for the quick reply Tom. If my boat comes in I may purchase one and have it delivered to you to toy with for a while. I don't know if other guys/gals here would be interested in donating maybe 50-100 each to you so that you could have one and give us the "truth and nothing but the truth" as the old detective guy use to say:-) . I would be willing to donate the first $100 do

Been long time from posting but check in once in a while. Still have my custom CZ6 Tom converted to CZ3d years ago and after reading a good bit about the Deus ll, I wondered if the customization would be flexible enough to set up a CZ3d profile in it. Tom may be able to nail down the fine tuning if possible. I understand the controls would definitely different but once set, I shouldn't need

WELL!!!! I'll be. It worked that time. I think what I may have done was confuse the "Edit Reply" as one phrase and hovered my mouse pointer over "Reply".
"Edit Reply Quote Report" sounds a lot like "Small fox hales fircus court" which my uncle replied when grandpa asked him what the newspaper headlines said back in the thirties. He had a speech i

I was sure I tried that also. Must be some fuzzy logic involved :-)
I'm going to try it again now. If it works, we should see SOLD at the end of the topic.
Tks guys.

Hey Keith...
Good to hear from you. What you have sounds great. You probably don't have my address anymore as it's been a good while since you sent me anything. I'll PM you with my address and price.
Tks again...

Been a while since posting here and thought I'd see if anyone could help me find one (or both) of the foam cups that go on the earlier version of the AT Pro headphones. Must have lost mine in the dark at the beach. Garrett doesn't carry this style of headphones anymore and so does not have replacement parts. I was cleaning my AT Pro up with two coils and original box and accessories to

Hi Des...
Sorry for the late reply. I've been out of town and just returned. ...and "yes", I did receive the bag. It was a bit big and too nice to cut up and try to sew it back together, so I'm keeping it for something special someday. I found an army ammo bag that worked and had a flap over it in case of rain.
Thanks for the gift thou. It was appreciated. Hope I can ret

I say it again... what a bunch of guys! I hadn't even started making my jelly yet! Still waiting for the eclipse. I can tell anyone who asks that I had a friend give me the bag on the total eclipse. Thanks Des. I'm sure it will work fine. I hope I can do something in return someday.

Wow! You guys are great. It's something else to see complete strangers come to the aid of a fellow detectorist. Kind of humbling. That's why I really like this site and appreciate Tom Dankowski and all others who make it special.
I got up at sunrise to pick grapes to make jelly (bees aren't all over them that early) and wait for the eclipse. It's not full here but very ne

I'm looking for one of the older blue sovereign gt hip/chest mount bags that's been discontinued for some time now. Wanted to chest mount my new to me sovereign gt and this bag seems to fit better than some of the newer ones. If anyone has one they're not using any more I'd be interested in purchasing it from them. If I can't find one, I may go with a army surplus canteen

Keith, you're a man after my own heart. I've modded about everything I've ever bought. Seems like an obsession but really we're just looking for something we have in mind that isn't available anywhere.
I looked at the carbon fiber ones you listed. Do you think it would work for attaching a v clip to it and be secure? I liked the one on ebay because it was aluminum

Hey Keith...
That link looks just like what I'm looking for. Wish it weren't 30 bucks just for one handlebar end. Searched all over the net but could not find anything just like it. If they were straight, they were too short or carbon fiber. At least with the others you get two of them so you can mess one up in the process.
Might as well order one.
Thanks

I now have a Minelab180 meter for my Sovereign and wanted to mount it on the hand grip, but the stock grip is made of plastic. I'm needing one of those metal bike grips that's not curved at the end to fit the V clip to. All I'm finding are curved and if I cut the curve off, it becomes too short.
What have you guys used and were does one find such a thing?
Tks...

dewcon4414... Yeah, you're right in keeping focus on what your target is. Hard not to dig everything in the sand.
Daniel Tn... Thanks for the You Tube info. That guy is very lucky. Seems to be a decent guy also.
Tom... I hadn't thought of it that way. It's not that they're tiny, it's that they are just as hard to detect as the really small gold.

During high tides, I would like to spend some time detecting for gold chains in the dry sand. I understand that there will be a ton of foil to dig, but if I can't detect the wet sand anyway at high tides, might as well give it a try. I'm not after micro jewelry, just chains and such, so I don't think I need a micro jewelry sifter, but do need something that a small thin chain won

I'm like you Sven. I watch tv about 2 hours a year! Don't even trust the news anymore. Radio hasn't been on in my truck for several years. I remember a couple years ago that everyone seemed to be in a big hurry to get somewhere on the hwy. I thought something
