Tom, I'm one among many who would like the small coil for the Tarsacci. Perhaps you might take a poll of small coil wishers. Could be 50% of owners? Thanks!

Keith, The video stopped before you were finished.
Did you have the iron audio turned off when you were going over the hammer head?
Thanks, Joel And great reporting!!!!! I 2nd the request for a smaller coil!

If I were to get a Tarsacci--very possible--I'd need a 6" round or 5"x10" coil. Buying it would be dependent upon such a coil being available.

The Golden Sense is a VLF; got one a few months but haven't used it yet just made sure it worked OK. When they first came out there was a user called 'ganixle' on findmall who gave some really good reports about it--made it sound really useful and deep. You can find his reports by using their search function. He hasn't posted but once since. There may be some videos, don'

Brian, Were you using the Multi-Kruzer? I have a deer-head button with the same type of stars around it, 1/2" diameter, that came from a mining camp that had 1880's dating on a brass promotional piece.

Lawrenzo, Great Stuff--Do you think the Impact would have done as well? I know what you mean about missing the numbers display, which can save a lot of useless digging.

Brian, The rings in the 1st photo look like a puzzle ring--Turkish, I think--that when organized right make a pleasing pattern on the finger. Used to be able to buy them back in the 70's at import shops in the Bay Area. Should be some alloy of silver or white brass.
By the way, that 3 x 6 concentric coil is a winner on the F70--great separator.

I don't know what kind of sites you'll be detecting, but for old relics of all kinds it's a great unit. I've been using the NEL Snake coil in my iron-littered mining camp sites in NV and the GMP with the Snake sees more non-ferrous stuff than any other un-masking style detector, including the Red Racer.and Vista Gold. But the lack of ID has become a problem as finds have dwind

There's one selling strategy that can help a seller, and that is to say that the machine works perfectly, but that there are no returns--that is a box that you can check when setting up an auction, as well as stating it in the description-- and no guarantees due to the number of buying scammers. If a seller has 100% feedback on hundreds of sales, people will buy. I've been saying that t

I've never compared the depth of the 2 coils, but I like the Snake because it seems to separate better than the 5", which has also found me 2-3 grain pieces. It's hard to find any gold out here in NV at the local diggins, but it does happen occasionally. According to the guys who were here first 20 years ago, there were1/2 oz nuggets around. No more, even with the Minelabs. But it

Yeah Del, this Omega with the NEL Snake coil is a deadly weapon in the iron-infested mining camps, schoolyards--found stuff missed by all others--and tot-lots--Sandman, you gotta get one! $290.00!!! And the same Snake does great on the F19, if you don't already have one. I've found small 2 & 3 grain nuggets with that combo.

I just held and informal contest between the F-19 w/NEL Snake, Vista Gold w/6" and GMP w/NEL Snake coil at a large old mining site with many flattened buildings out in northern Nevada where I live. A couple years ago I hit this place with the GBPro w/5" coil and found a fair amount of non-ferrous junk--maybe a brass machinery label for a real relic. And now hardly any non-ferrous stuff

I made the mistake of bringing the Gold Racer instead of my Red Racer out to a very junky ghost town site where I picked some non-ferrous stuff with the F-19 the year before. Found a few non-ferrous junk items, but noticed that the Gold Racer would ID round iron--bottlecaps, etc. --much better than the Red Racer--would give a more distinct low tone on the edges. I was very impressed with that--u

Just curious--what detectors give an iron grunt on axeheads?
The Red Racer is great in identifying iron, and I have to assume that the Racer2 does, also. I use 0 discrimination and when the coil--the small OOR coil--goes over sheet iron and even an old iron bottlecap, there are low tones on each edge of the object. Sometimes the low tone is very faint on the edges and usually that's when

One came up on Ebay from Backwood's, got it, tried it out for an hour in a schoolyard to get acquainted, scored some coins and then it went beserk--pulsing LO, LO. New batteries, 2 sets, the same. I sent it back to Detector Electronics, got it back, and as soon as I turned it on it did the exact same thing. so they sent me a module to swap out in the battery compartment--that was the cure.

Slag, I bought a used Gold Racer from a dealer that turned out to be the one Keith Southern used in a video. I think he had it a month and must have used it 5 years worth, because after an hour of my using it, it totally crashed. It was at Detector Electronics for a few days when I first called. 2 days later I called back--customer service--( one of the owners handles many of these calls) and sa

Keith, I've never seen a nugget comparison between the Fors Gold+ and the Fors Relic and wonder if in your opinion the Relic is hotter than the Gold + on a small 3 grain nugget. Just your opinion, don't need a test--you do so many!
Thanks, Joel

Keith, Since this is a 19 kHz machine, is it as good on small gold nuggets as the Fors Gold+ ?. Seems like it ought to be, but doesn't have the SAT. Thanks, Joel

Alright Nokta, I most certainly second tnsharpshooter's request that you sell the basic controls at a much reduced price as an option for those of us who have the rods and coils of the original Racer. This type of offering, I believe, would be a first in the industry, and could change the way the detector companies offer their products, which often have VERY redundant costs--like the Fisher

Keith, I LOVE the NEL Snake coil on the F19!!! Never had that problem with it. It separates out the very small non-ferrous like nothing I've seen yet, including the Fors Gold, original. I'm going to see if there's a Snake for my GMP. Just got a Sharpshooter for it from Ron in NJ,, but there's been too much mud & snow out here to use it. If I had a Racer, I'd get a Sna

My choice would be a used Eurotek Pro. Once set up, all you have to do is turn it on and the adjustments are easy. And for what you get the used ones are cheap. If you want to know where one is, at a reliable dealer, just send me a PM. I have no stake in any transaction with him.

Great Hunt! I recently found one of those pennies in a schoolyard--forgot what the date was or if it could even be seen--and yes, that's a Masonic emblem. It would be interesting to know how many of them were made.

Ziggy, Who in the UK sells coils for the Reacher? It's strange that Kellyco over here has never promoted these detectors--they sell the Detech coils for all the popular units. Looking forward to your further evaluation of this machine. Kevin at Staffordshire seems to like these detectors. How much more power will this new Fors Gold have over the original? Say in terms of picking up a 3 grain mini-nugget at how far in an air test with each coil? I have the original and am not happy that I might have to buy a better one from the same company so soon. Of course I don't HAVE to, but I gotta have the best!

What a crazy deal with Minelab--they also have a special on the GPX 4500 for about $2700, and now several dealers on Ebay have the GPX 4800 PLUS the Eureka for about the same price. The dealers selling the 4500 must be hitting the roof--how can they compete? It seems that there's not a lot of usage with the 4800, though.
