apologies to those who had to wade through -or ignore this last year or even before, but today's wind and rain made it seem more like something like "Jul" the old holiday, before the cross replaced all the"old things"
So now, I find it to be a time to think of other, sometimes older traditions such as yule - the germano/scandinavian midwinter festival. The tradition of

A dozen or so metal detectors need new homes.
I will get to gether a list and asking prices - pics will be available for all on request.
looking for good homes for them, not planning to boost my retirement funds, asking prices will be reasonable.

Need a battery door for mine. I think all the underarm plastic box Tesoro's shared the same one - sort of 3.5 inches long with two "plugs" to fit the holes in the case.
If anyone has one hanging around, I will mail you a silver dollar if you will send it to me.

I have been messing around with this stuff, using Microsoft's Bing and Google's Bard. Here is a Query I posted on Bard and the answer I got....
NOTE: The answer is not a quote from some website, in fact it is not even a combination of "clips" from different website entries, it is an original composition of "bits" of information which is contained in texts which B

I believe that Alexandre concluded that there was nothing wrong with her coil. It worked fine on the wet sand.
She will likely get an early one of the first batch of 8” coils when they are ready next month.

Deborah’s problem is when submerged in the salt. Whether it is due to the high salinity of summer water or something else (she mentioned the possibility of buried seaweed) is unknown as yet. Alexandre Tartar has talked to her.
One suggestion of Alexandre’s is that she should try the Volcanic Soil setting. This setting is a discriminating setting - a variation on the multitone or mute mode (I f

Here’s the text of an email I got from Dave Johnson about 4 years age when I asked about the 1266.
“ It had good sensitivity to deep coins in low mineral ground. Otherwise not so great.
The fan club comprises users who are looking for deep stuff in non-trashy areas, and who spent a long time learning its language. For those folks, the 1266 advantage is that it has great potential depth,

Tom, the CE cert is well underway, but on the “Mark 2” version with much cleaner battery set up and much longer run time - otherwise much the same electronics and the same performance. Late this year COVID permitting - but looking at you Texas is going “down the tube” with it - I have my doubts that it can be ready that soon.

RC legit question. I tried a prototype in late 2018 in stripey black sand in San Diego and got pretty much the same results on buried nickels - about 18” in discriminate. My Nox got 8”

The AQ Limited is only for sale in the US and CAnada. Total production will likely not exceed 100. Right now Fisher is still operating with limited manning due to COVID19 and production is proceeding slowly.

Edit note - rude comments deleted....
This has been discussed on this forum and elsewhere for 3 years, first as the Manta or AquaManta and now as the Fisher Impulse AQ. It is a specialized detector for finding valuable gold jewelry at ANY beach, from white coral sand to coal black magnetic sand.
Plenty of information over on Steve Herschbach’s place or any one of the several threads here w

Downer? A guy who likely knows nothing about what this detector is designed to do complains that he doesn’t understand the discrimination and needs a VDI.
Well, it is only for one thing - gold jewelry at the beach better than any existing detector. If you aren’t into that, your opinions of it are of little relevance.
The $7000 Minelab GPZ has NO discrimination and NO VDI, so I guess the bes

The prototype I had in October 2018 hit a nickel at 18” at Coronado - my Nox managed 8” on the same nickel in stripey black sand. The current board is more powerful and quieter than that prototype.
