Bin swapping emails with Monte for several years trying to join his Nevada outback retreat. I always had a conflict or a health issue. He was one of the good guys! Via con Dios, amigo.

It came in today's mail. I seem to have gotten the 103 page bonus edition. Thanks for a 'legendary' walkthrough with your insights and suggestions on the Legend. I appreciated the appendix of updates. Your books have never disappointed me.

Cal seems to like it! I am glad he posted and I am eager to see others comment from experience rather than speculate or criticize without ever having one in hand.

As usual, Dilek was awesome! It looks like a very good addition to the market at the price/performance level. Of course we won't know performance until it is in hand, but with the past performance of their products I believe it will be a solid performer. The new XP unit will be out soon too. I don't think they will chase the current leaders out of their positions, who knows? We live

Over the years I've had at least one of the several CZ models (except 20/21) and still have 2 3Ds I am emotionally attached to. I still find Tom's beach hunting DVDs inspiring (I think he is using a CZ5) calling hits like a master psychic. But I am using the new stuff and looking forward to the Deus 2 coming soon to a beach near me! At 71 my ability to swing has declined to where ergo

I have an Equinox 800, a Tarsacci 8000 and XP Deus/ORX in my car and which one is best depends on the day, the ground and my arm/shoulder.

I bought a Deus 6 or 7 years ago and was not all that happy with it. I had the larger coil on it and it felt nose heavy and at the time I was overwhelmed by all the setting options. Sold it in less than a year. I got a great deal on an ORX earlier this year and was using it as a back up to my back up as I have carried the 'nox and Tarsacci for 3 years. It has the smaller HF coil and is un

I just bought a Doodad for my Equinox and paid 50% extra to get 2 Day delivery. Sure enough it arrived 6 days after it was shipped. Ordered on Friday, shipped on Monday arrived on Saturday- not bad?

You never know what you don't know.
I guarantee if you get this book AND read it you will discover things you didn't know about detecting and the Equinox. I have several other books by Clive and the all work that way. Check out his web page if you are not familiar with him.

It is comforting to see diversity in detectorists represented here.
As a 70 year old, lifetime Californian, I can testify to the effects of lousy government. We had a fully structured plan for hydroelectric dams 50 years ago that got scrapped. Power and water needs would be met with some recreation tossed in, but no. Mixing metaphors intentionally - the idiots are running the asylum. They ar

I have this book in hand as well as the Advanced Guide and Andy's book too. I feel they all add to my understanding and make me a better hunter. The Equinox is such a well designed machine you don't need a book to use it well. However, good may not get you what you want if better is required. We all walk over and away from things we missed. Reducing the number of misses is or shoul

Every video gets second guessed to pieces. Sweep speed and settings seem the most common area of criticism. Here I wish he showed a clean shot of the Tarsacci settings, I could get all but Sens and GB. He ran through the Nox too fast for me to follow, but I wouldn't use 50 tones and recovery 2 for sure. But like Dew, I don't argue with his findings. I am not hitting a lot of 13 inch

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes on Him shall have everlasting life!
Merry Christmas!
Hey, I am a pastor, what do you expect?
I totally respect the position of any and all who hold differing beliefs or traditions. Seasons greetings seems so shallow. Never the less it also says "Peace on earth, good will to men."

I just saw this and promptly ordered it. It certainly is not for those of you who are no longer interested in learning or believe no one knows more about detecting or the Equinox than you do.
I consider myself reasonably proficient, but if I can learn something that makes a difference in finding even one more gold ring or silver coin then the cost of this book is well worth it.

If they win this, maybe we can sue John Sutter's estate over screwing up California?
Just a thought.
Well, a passing thought.
Okay, I've not finished my first cup of coffee and I was out really late last night.

Mr. WVCM, the ruffling feathers may have been your canary dying. Thank you for 2 years and 7 posts to qualify to tell us how to post correctly. It might be more efficient if you were to adjust your filter than all of us. A man once said, "Can't we all just get along?". May be the wisest thing he ever said.

I think the market has been sagging for several years and no one thing is to blame. Rising shipping costs have eroded profits to add insult to the injury. Simplex+ may well do more to make obsolete than the 'Nox has. Random thoughts...

For those who have lost their manual:
Sound Modes: There are 3 sound profiles (All Metal, Discrimination, and Mix Mode) with 4 tones total. The graph provided in section Discrimination Breakdown Visuals gives a visual representation when one of the 4 tones is heard, based on one of the 3 sound profiles being used. The 4 tones are as indicated:
1. Low Tone: Represents ferrous Targets.

I finally got to see the video in full and there is nothing in it about a new unit. The ORX is still pretty new and I only saw the old Deus in production. Looked like the new X35 coils and HF coils being made. A very nice XP company PR piece but that's all.

Order placed with the Head Office. Hoping for a speedy delivery.
In many parts of the world this is how you have to say, "I am praying for his recovery." China is getting really bad now. If you are a praying person, remember those who are being persecuted for just holding to beliefs that are not permitted.
Not trying to hijack.
