I switched out my stock Nox shaft for one of Steve's complete carbon fiber shafts.
No more wobble from the lower and it looks damned spiffy.
Anyone else ?

I see there was mention of Enloop. These are great batteries but too expensive.
IKIA sells their LADDA brand generic looking white rechargeable batteries for about 1/2 of the price of Enloop Pro.
LADDA is made by Fujitsu for Panasonic (Japan), the maker of Enloop Pro. I previously inquired with both Panasonic and IKIA.
IKIA answered me and told me the LADDA batteries are Enloop Pro branded as

Faking finds.... its really not a new trend. It's been going on, I've seen it quite often on eBay over the years.
Sometimes when you quiz the seller, they clearly are not a TH'er and most likely have never had a detector in their hands.
Another ebay seller trend used to be " I have no idea what its worth, you be the judge, take it before we all wake up from this dream&qu

Yep, I've had my RTG for years 15 years or so.
It's not laser cut titanium built on a CNC machine.
Unfortunately, mine was hand fabricated by a skilled craftsman.
It works better than any over priced $690 sucker scoop.

eBay is a cesspool filled with fakes of all types. If you're not sure how to differentiate fake versus genuine, don't step in the hole.

Had a friend that had an AT Max, he liked it and used it exclusively until he saw me picking out targets that he missed in super heavy trash. I'm not in any way saying that the AT Max is not a good detector, it is and deserves the following that it has earned. My own personal observations between the Nox 800 and the AT Max...... the Nox wins.

The only reason I ever slow down my sweep speed is when in a heavy trash area. This has nothing to do with recovery speed, it was to control the coil and not let it sweep over more trash than necessary.

Most of this sponsored scripted is pure B.S., I'd most likely watch while keeping in mind that its like WWF wrestling.

Sold everything over the years except for a Tom Tweaked CZ3D low 1021 serial number Los Banos with 8", 10.5" stock coils and 14" Sunray Invader.
I've also been using the NOX 800, that one isn't going anywhere either...... for now.

I guess it depends on where you hunt and if you scrub the ground. I've worn through and thinned out a few coil covers over the years. Sand and gravel can chew your coil otherwise.
