Select the Target Recovery Mode power savings option so that when you set the detector down - it automatically stops transmitting until picked up again.
It's all software. Lots of possibilities.

I'll give more time to the Beach / Seawater setting the next time we're out. Waiting for a period when the temps come back up above freezing for a few days in a row. Thanks for the input.

I Made a couple trips out with the Manticore and I'm off to a good start. A week ago, Andrew and I had done a little testing with our PI machines at one of Andrews long time spots on the GSL (video is on his YouTube channel for anyone wanting to see his new Equinox 900 in action. Banner day, it is worth watching. ) We had a great time.
Anyway, the following Thursday we both ended up wit

I have had zero issues with my 800. I am sure ML can utilize the traded in Noxs to scavenge parts or rebuild them into 700 and 900 and the way material shortages are... I mean why not try to recoup more money from former Nox owners. Which would you rather have? A happy customer who paid $1400 or a disgruntled customer who paid $1000? Just a thought.

Hey Steve,
Minelab has the 900 and 700 on their website complete with owners' manual, start up guide and technical specs.
They look just like the manticore until you get to the coil. Same pod type, arm cuff, shaft. Keeping the same coils as the 800 /600. Supposedly getting a redesign on the 11" with a better "ear" system. Rated to 5M depth like the M-core.

I wish all a Happy Thanksgiving / Harvest time. Winter in taking a firm hold where I live here in Utah (USA). Soon i will be watching the ice fishermen, snowmobilers, wintering deer/elk and skiers and looking forward to spring.
Cheers

Still here but have to admit I've seen fewer posts the last couple years on topics of substance. Seems social media the last couple years has turned poisonous with bickering, insults, divisiveness to the point of being polarizing.
I like to read posts from other detectorists about equipment they're using, how they are working through challenges to their particular detecting and mayb

I am thinking of the DTMF (touchtone used by the phone company) system as an example. Overlapping tones - a group of ascending tones for the conductive value and another set of ascending tones, distinct from the first, for the ferrous value. Every

dewcon4414,
Am i reading correctly that both the 11" and 9" FMF coils achieved these buried target results at the beach for Andy? Is it appearing that the 9" FMF coil is the do-it-all coil for the Deus 2 ? What I mean is that many of the caparisons are with the 9" FMF coil vs say an 11" coil from a competitor. If the 9" is outperforming the competitors 11&quo

I believe patience is situation dependent for most all of us. Most of us have great patience in some situations and virtually none in others.

Let me preface this by saying that I like my Equinox 800 a lot. It's become my favorite detector since i started this back in the mid-70's. I think it finds / unmasks keepers that my explorer xs and etrac couldn't find. And it seems to be AS deep or just a little better in my area. Utah / (+NV/ID/OR/WA/CA/WY)- Depending on the emi and the soil, i run max or near max sensitivity,

Enjoy the walk down memory lane Aaron.
I had 2 Mark I's, both hip-mount versions. My first discriminating detector. A great, but very heavy, detector. The hip-mount helped with the weight, but i made a lot of replacement cables for the pinpoint switch due to flex wear and tear.
The White's 6000 Di 3 and then Di Pro were the 'thing' to have in my area at the time. B
