Hi Folks, I'm currently working on a detectorstuff.com style interview and Q/A session with Dimitar Gargov of Tarsacci. He has graciously given me permission to reach out and see if any of you may have questions that I will try to include in my interview and Q&A. I can't promise all the questions will make it in but I'll try to include as many as I can.
Thanks!

Most forums these days HAVE to run really strict spam filtering systems. The bad part is that it can make registering and posting a little tougher for "real" people. On the links subject, there may be a way for the forum software to force links to open in new tabs?

A Ray Jefferson all metal deal given to me as a kid in the early 70's. First one I "bought" myself was a Garrett Deepseeker 3 I bought used from a dedicated Nautilus user.

The most endearing and informative audio I recall came from my old Nautilus 2b. Once your brain synced the all metal and discriminate sides of the audio, it was pretty amazing.

Wayne, I have 2 Omegas...one is a first generation with red graphics and the other is a newer version. Maybe we can test them a bit when we get together to hunt this winter.

It would have to be the latest version F75 (with FA, boost, etc). It is so versatile and ergonomic. Plus, I can hear AC/DC belting out "Back in Black" in my head when I see it. Granted...I haven't used any of the recent European Invasion machines.

I know it wasn't a question, but I totally agree with Johnnyanglo on coil design. Something that is aerodynamically (hydro?) neutral so that there's no lift or dive when sweeping side-to-side underwater. Also...somehow it doesn't want to suction attach itself to the wet sand when beach hunting and you sweep too low.
I forgot to comment on run-time for batteries. I'm thi

I personally always think twice when a device uses sealed batteries (sealed in the device...that is). It makes perfect sense for a water machine, but I always have concerns in the back of my mind about when the batteries go bad. Maybe some sort of dirt cheap factory battery replacement warranty (for an extended time period)? I know that would make me feel more at ease about spending money.

Hi Everyone...I have an original run Omega. It's the one with the red display graphics and also the 1/8th inch headphone plug. It is in good shape and hunts great. I wouldn't be trading this one if I didn't have two! Let me know if you'd like to see photos. I'm open to trading for just about anything...I just want something different to play with this Fall!

As someone who also owns a site and forum, it's considered respectful for a manufacturer, vendor or anyone "selling" something to at least drop the owner of the site an email and ask if it's okay. Tom is paying for the bandwidth, hosting, etc. so I think he's not asking too much for this sort of respect. It can become like the wild west pretty quickly if things like tha

Wow...ain't modern society something? We are all so used to everything being "right now" and "instant" we just plain ol' don't have patience anymore. How many times have folks griped about FTP (and other companies) for "rushing" detectors out into production with perceived "bugs"? IF they are working on something brand new, from the ground

Opening up more depth on coins would also (I would think) open up more opportunities for dealing with iron masking. If the coin strata for 150 years ago is (as an example) 14 inches in a given area, then there would also be rusty iron down there with 'em. Extra inches would also increase the odds of something (ferrous or non-ferrous) being in the detection "cone" too. I'm

The V3i is incredibly adaptable. It can be overwhelming, all the settings...but, once you dial it in for an area & save the program, it's as easy as any other detector. I agree the stock programs aren't very deep but some of the custom programs you'll find on various forums will make it a deep machine...even on coins. There was one program from a guy who went by "magic&

Yes, I was hoping to use between two different machines...but, come to think of it, I may not need to. I may just stick with using it on my newer machines. It's sounding like the best option is to just replace the connector...time to brush up on my soldering skills!
You guys know of a good resource for the connectors? I think I have a diagram of the wiring to pins from a post a while b

Good evening folks...I'm hoping one of you have whipped up some homemade adapters to go from the original style "push on" connector to a "screw on" type as seen on the Omegas, G2's, etc. If you have, give me a yell with the $$ I would need to buy one from you.
Thanks,
Mark
