I use the Garrett carrot. When I forget to bring it I have a Tek point & a black Garrett in the truck. The Tek point makes my GPX go nuts & falses a lot.

Ah the good old days without a pinpointer. From the video you dug a 13" bullet with the 8" coil on it. Wow that's deep. My gpx is the only machine I have that can do

I've been relic hunting for over twenty years & would like to try one out sometime in the near future. I'm getting older & would like a light machine that handles bad ground like a pi machine. Will different size search coils be available?

I'm thinking about getting one of these Reb. I probably will early next year. From what I've heard on here & from friends who use them they are a nice machine. My buddy is using a 600 & is doing well relic hunting. He said it'll dig 10" bullets witch is good for a vlf in semi hot ground we hunt. HH

Tom will this detector have comparable depth to a GPX? I'm a relic Hunter & would love something lighter than my GPX. Oh & discrimination to boot.

Hunting old spots has a diminishing return. That's that. Unless it's mineralized ground. Then something different than a vlf will open eyes.

I get over to Gettysburg quite a bit. I live in Carlisle PA. I actually took part in one of the battle walks they put on pcn years ago. We helped repulse Pickett's change lol. It's a nice park for sure.

I know this the TDI loves iron. I have one. It doesn't even go for rides anymore because it loves iron. Now I'm a civil war relic hunter though. I do have a GPX. It does back flips over my TDI. Just saying guys. I offer my buddy's to use it & they turn it down. I hunt challenging ground & a vlf machine won't get past 6"-8" on a bullet. I know the TDI will but

If FT can put the performance of a GPX in a 3 pound detector it'll sell like hotcakes. Throw in water proof & I don't see how they can make enough of them.

I just got a GPX 4500 in March. I've dug more bullets in the time since I've got it til now than any metal detector I've ever owned. If Fisher can put this in a 3# detector it'll make everything obsolete.

That's very interesting lol. I just got a GPX & Fisher is going to make it obsolete. Man if they can put that kind of depth & target ID in a light weight unit it would change everything.
