what a terrific hunt! thank you for sharing! the unidentified part is possibly a trigger and bolt spring from a black powder revolver. (just a guess)

5" , 6" , or 7" round concentric coils, also a 8" round DD coil.
It would also be nice that the optional coils would by buyer friendly,
price wise, like the Simplex+ jtol

the detector was a home-built with a second revision to the coil.
I think the coin was a '62 or '63 Rosie.
My way-back files ain't what they used to be.

Just wondering if anyone has heard any late breaking news about the Simplex.
Are they field testing the final version, have the come up with a possible release
date, etc? I think I had heard that it was supposed to come out sometime in May.
