Thanks for your reply, Tom. Ya, the sense I get is with Prospecting--the actual bias is doing a lot more to keep the signal riding up above any low-level interference. I ran the NOX this way at black sand beaches and cleaned up. (using a bit of disc to make the caps "stutter"--killer method). Lot of info in the VCO as well. The Manti reminds me of on optimized pulse in that clean m

I'll add my 2 cents: With both the NOX and Manti these prospecting modes are a great way to get in touch with what the ground is telling you--to learn to run a balanced signal and adjust your sweep speed for max performance. Ive been looking around to see if anyone has come up with a way to run anything other than Surf-/ Sandin salt water this looks very promising. Toms oth

slick and strong processing pushes a lot of the alloys down, graph show anything corroded--this machine is a gold huners dream. all the crud that NOX hunters have to dig is obvious. graph also shows how well a response stands out from the ground so weak foils are also recognizable. aftter 4 or 5 leakers (loste count!) with he NOX I have zero complaints with the Manti. cjc

Thanks kindly, Pastor Tom. Legend is an awesome package needed to be done justice shame that those page constraints are my print arrangements limit. Just a powerful, versatile detector that will suit hunters at all levels. Lot of fun to customize and run with all that fidelity--especially the new bias range. Hope the book helps you make some big finds this season, Tom. Sorry to hear about Sad

FS sounds like a challenging enviroment to hunt no doubt with a lot of competitoin. You are certainly on the right track target testing on-site and focussing on tones that are peaked. I'm really trying to develop some high trash gold methods for this detector--it has so much potential. For medium potential ground I focus on the anomaly targets--using some notch and the coil to see how sol

Understanding the iron / steel / non-ferrous range is a critical area of skill building for beginners. This is where a lot of the gold is. In my books I've tried to teach a bit about mediating this range in both your tuning and ID-ing skills. Its great to see a machine that has the ability to show this range graphically. Sounds like a very exciting detector. cjc
