The problem with the leakage is once you update the electronics as it is at its limits so this causes the box to expand so there is where you start to get leaks. Should have had the updates included in it from the start then there wouldn't be any problems...............>:

Well no body really knows yet what the capabilities of the detector only what we have seen on the forums. To me 100 units @ ruffly at $1500 us dollars is only a return of $150,000 which is not much when you take overheads r&d . We will get some feed back once the detector has a good run with a lot of users . You can not start knocking the unit untill some firm statements start rolling in. I

Well with all the underwater detectors i have used since the late 70:s Whites p.i. 1000 Eric Fosters, Aquasport, Whites p.i. Whites Dual Field Vallon. It has always been my policy before using the detector from new to apply silicone grease to the o ring apart from the Dual Field as this o ring is made of a different composition which should not have silicone grease applied to it,

Hi CD
We have a very cold climate here in Tasmania Australia and in summer it does not get right up there in the heat and the Nox is still failing here Just a real flop on the part of Minelab. And its not good enough in this day and age.

Hi Rob,
Great detector in its day and still is no slouch even in todays standards. I would love to have a dollar for every gold ring i found with mine. And its built like a tank.

This is what i loved with my AQUASPORT back in the early eighties Eric Foster had great design qualities as the battery compartment was completely seperate from the electronics. In all the years i had it i only had one battery that leaked so a very simple solution to give it a wash out and away you go again.

With all the figures in front of you still cant get it right Whites have been in business 70 years not just over 50. God if you come up in the early years before computers you would not have had a hope in hell to stay with the technology looking back over all your old post you needed to ask the most simple of questions on how to set up detectors. Same with Nokta Makro they ha

Well Bluntshooter,
For a start off no one could complain about the service Whites supplied many things they repaired in the time i used them for free since using there detectors here in AUSTRALIA since 1977. If you were a true yank you would not be knocking a usa company. And as far as a tin can mentality its whats in the tin can that counts to get the results, As with the v3i i have had mine si

Hi Guys ,From Down Under In Oz.
I have a problem with my DetectorPro Pistol Probe. The settings green light , hi, low ,& led are all ok. Frequency is all working ok. Threshold is a bit scratchy breaking in and out & some times ok. The main thing is it has lost depth as it will only start to pick up a coin size target at just under an inch. Does any one know any electronic guys in the

Well Guys,
Some really good ways at looking at the situation. I like Flintstones idea at least you will get some gold rings along the way and still leave a reserve of gold there to be found. Using my Whites v3i here in Oz i have the capabilities of using a program that will get rid of a hell of a lot of pulltabs. For example a vdi of 18 21 22 28 30 35 36 38 39 41 are all pulltabs out that

It would be just great if some beeping manufacturers would create a gold jewellery detector only. Just like having a fly fishing rod. Knock everything out except bling.

We have seen your effort not long ago with the DFX o my god what a performance. Its not a detector that you just pick up and think you know it its horses for courses. One setting stuff up and its all over red rover. The same with the Whites v3i which i have had since 2009.
There is some many combinations of settings to get the same result. I am going on 82 still detecting and have sold and us
