Apples to oranges here. I have had my Deus ll for 13 months of regular use and am still learning it. 74 hours is a drop in the bucket. Don’t give up hope as the Manticore is a good detector. Just my 2 cents worth.

The bone phones were bought separately. The Deus ll comes with back phones which I do not like. I bought the WSA ll XL phones to use. The Deus gives the option of two tones. PWS and SQUARE. The bone phones only have connections for the SQUARE tones. The two machines compared is apples and oranges. Both updatable so any issues will be worked out in the long run. Good luck with your choice.

One thing mind you, just one thing different between your two interests, that jumps out at me. EQX has optional 6" and 15" DD coils. Hmmm, I wonder why that is?

Dimitar if your watching. You know.I have waited a year for a 12" round DD coil for surf and turf. 12 1/4" would be fine also. My machine needs no update only slightly more coverage. Thanks for listening to us and I have my cash in hand. Haha

I can not think of anyone who has cried for a 12" round DD coil louder and longer than me, right Tom? I have started threads on another forum about this coil and deep discussions on coverage over the stock coil. I bothered Tom with PM's and Dimitar to death, so I have no complaints about weight, covers, location or size of ears etc.I thank you Tom and Dimitar for your decision and effor

I live and hunt here regularly. The inlet north to the pier is the only beach which was not effected by replenishment this summer. We generally look for SW winds to cut the beach here in the winter but those strong of winds will move some sand. Things have been quite bleak this winter. Those winds will cause water hunting in the bay to be impossible. It could though cause some cuts though from Ch

Tom, I ran across a video by Relics and Rings on the controls of the MDT. When he demonstrated the GB function he did not highlight the GB box. He left the volume box highlighted. He showed the GB box with GB at 500. Then be raised the coil and pushed the GB button and lowered the coil. He then showed the GB # had jumped to 672, all while never highlighting the GB box. I have not had a chance to

The Google alert is a good idea. List the Tarsacci but also list a charger for a EBL 5000mAH battery. If they put it up for sale maybe you will get an alert. If they keep it maybe they will try and buy a charger. Good luck and let us know what happens. Really sux.

Eric and I along with a VALLON rep here in the US have been working with the VALLON for several years. The Vallon comes with what people call a stock coil that is 7" x 11" oval. They also have a 12" coil available. This is for the VMH3CS model. I have the latest software updates and a 12" coil Eric wound for me. 12" is easily achived on a nickel in wet salt with the oval

It appears that the MDT can only work with one coil at this time. Sounds.like.maybe forever. Had I known there would not be other coils available such as all other machines out there, I would have never spent $1500.00 on the MDT. Kinda tying my hands.

You guys don't know what you don't know. That's correct, I'm not a NASA engineer so I guess I'm stupid. What my stupid mind does not understand is if the MDT does not have eyes and the 12" coil has the same wire, same shielding, same.resistance etc. How does the MDT know that the coil is round, square, triangular or what size it is? And I would argue square inches of

Tom,, it seems to me a coil with the same parameters say a 12" round DD as the stock 8"x11" would pair just fine. Depth should remain the same but the added coverage could compete with the other popular machines on the salt beaches. It also would benifit the relic hunters by shrinking those fields.

Can someone tell me what's up with all the yellow tape on the housing? Is it to do with the Souria connector or is it to hold the knobs in position? Just curious.

I don't think I have dug a ring over 12" deep unless in the water because I can't judge depth well chest deep. What I do know and bardley anyone believes me except my hunting partner, I have dug several nickels at 17 and 18 inches without cave ins in damp and wet sand all showing the + positive symbol but jumpy. I use a DiAblo sand scoop that is 12" and these nickels were.1 1/

I'm scared I am using the TID to my disadvantage. As I said I run 0 threshold 9 sensitivity 18 kHz salt 30 black sand off. All my gold targets have always shown a + TID but depending on depth and other factors jumpy at times but always +. That being said ( here might be my downfall ) I rarely now dig any - TID numbers jumpy or not. I find myself after " listening " to the target lo

Tom, you did not mention if you checked in any other frequencies? I hunt a lot in 18 kHz thinking I have a better shot at a chain. I also run in AM threshold 0 sensitivity 9. I also run in 9 kHz a lot also. Never run 12 or 6.4.You also did not mention TID. Was it a solid non ferrous + or ferrous - number? Thanks should you have time to answer.
