Lately my two Minelabs was stolen. Etrac and Explorer. Now i m looking for new unit. I have experiens with F75, but it is too much for me to pay. Need honest opinions about Garret AT Pro or Tek T2. How good are they? If possible give me some head to head comparsion about AT and T2. Sorry about my english grammar if anything went wrong.

Can I be used as protective layers of tape like 3M or rubber over the coil. Whether it violates the perfomance or not?

Yesterday we tested on highly ferrous trash ground Minelab E trac and Goldenmask 1+HF. Small landscape and we marked all good signals. Minelab found 0 Golden Mask 18 khz found 11. Four of them hammered coins. We tried different settings on e trac norhing helped. The landscape was 15 century household place hard nail carpet on. This Minelab 29 freq myth is a good marketing trick nothing more.

Put the hammered coins there and V3 is useless. But this is what we hunt. US dime is a giant vs viking age silver hammered. And its a totally different hunt, we must dig foil and pulltab range to get them. So we need monotone fast and deep machine with minimal discrimination.

It works better for us monotone and very fast recovery speed machine. Minimal discrimination. You must dig everything anyway. Every good signal could be treasure.

Ok one more fantasy, built in GPS and log file with ID numbers registered . Fail to build a profile of the whole plot. In order to understand later, is it worth to go or not to dig.

Minelabers are protecting their expensiv investment. I own Eplorer SE Pro and it stays on the corner. Most of time i use my XP Gmaxx. Because Minelab is useless when two thousand years history is on the ground. F75 was a blast to ride too, but too much EMI was a problem for me.
