I think i will leave it alone, i can get 12" on a nickel and afraid i might miss something up. I can run it with the 12AAs , just not as long as my other detectors. I only have the 8" coil and the 5" coil, I know if i put the 10" on it it will make it so heavy i can't run it long. Thanks for the help. flintstone

I know Tom knows about the CZ detectors, and you guys almost as much as him. Do any one know if there is a battery that will work in each side of the 7a with out useing 6 AA on each side. I love this detector, but 12 AAs is a bit heavy and cost. If their is a rechargeable pack or cell that could fit would be better maybe, i may be wrong, I know the detector balance well like it is. Thanks for any

Hi all, i have a very nice CZ7a detector, but don't like the 12 AA batterys that need to run it. 12 AA = 18v, can i use two 9v and fit them into the AA holder and will it hurt the detector? It will still be 18v right? Thanks , hope i asked this right.

I like the CZ detectors, I have a CZ7a, that still works as good as it did when new. I just don,t like all those AA batterys, but they last for ever. I sold my CZ3D and wish i had keep it. I have a Anfibio Muti that works good. Has anyone used the Anfibio? If so tell us about it, is it good as the CZ's? I know better than that, but the Anfibio douse go deep. flintstone

Caretaker, Will this work as well on the XLT ? I see this is for Eagle 11. I have a Eagle 11 Sl, and a book I will need to find that and reread it. Thanks for the settings I will try them if it every stops raining. Thanks Dean

Hi Caretaker,I am glad you didn't take it. I just got it today and it is very nice. Screen has a dent in it, but I can put a new screen protector on it. If you have some good settings send me some. I sure would appreciate it. flintstone

I have been detecting for about 25 years, and have never broke a coil cover. I take them off about every mo. or if I hunt in sand or loose dirt. I pull the lower stim with coil on it and run hot water in sink, set coil in hot water for about 3 or 4 mins. and most of the time I can take it off with my hand, if to hard I use a small knife and slide it around it and it pops off. No more broken cover

The more I read about the Vanquish the better I think it will be. I have the 440, but can't go to a park yet, hope they will be open in a week or two. Keep the posts coming, so I can something to read. Thanks flintstone
