Interesting to see how a single frequency machine works on the beach. I had a 705 that worked under power lines with the low frequency coil that no other would.

The D2 has the "puck" that with a 14.00 adapter allows me to attach headphones that suit my hearing, I can put it in my shirt pocket or rain coat and swing away. Same with the EQ 800. What is happening with iron on the Mcore reminds me of the CZ3D and how it loved nails. While things have changed greatly since the era of the 3D It appears from what I see on videos you can adjust your ir

Canceled my order today and I was told 3 weeks ago I was third in line. Sounds like the Mcore has a lot in common with the CZ3D. Loves nails. Then there is the don't mention water headphones.

Choice of illumination would be nice. Do something about the cheap headphones and give a way to use another headphone wireless. Losing the module like the 800 used was a bad idea. Now I have to hang a module on the side of my almost state of the art MD to be wireless.

They sell a piece that the puck slides onto and it has a 1/8" mini plug into it for headphones. I use it for my earbuds and put the puck into my shirt pocket. The flexibility of the D2 is great!

Day 7,563 Still waiting for the Manticore! Feels like it any way. lol Not to worry though the beaches are sanded in bad! I have had at least 2 times I could have gotten one online but trying to wait for my local dealer. He seems to be one that is only getting a couple at a time.

I will have a Manticore later this week. Hoping the 8x5.5 coil comes out soon and doesn't break the bank like a 9" D2 coil. EMI is the main draw to me. I hunt the same beaches that CD tests on and EMI isn't so bad along the NC beaches where he lives. Mainly cottages. When you get down to the tall buildings in the greater Myrtle Beach area it can be so bad you want to leave but the

The day care center behind his home I would think runs the heat pumps all night. Don't want kids cold in the morning. Those are the culprits for the most part. Still, what he can get out of it with that amount of "hearable" EMI is amazing. So far not many if any are getting the Manticore around here. The only two I know of is Calabash and Surfside Dan in the Myrtle Beach area.

The EMI mitigation and that little bit of extra punch I've seen is interesting for a beach hunter. Weight, balance, large screen, intuitive menu and new grip arrangement has got me in line. Minelab released just enough to get the videos out there over the holidays. Hope that changes soon. Boat show coming up and I am looking at new electronics and trolling motor. lol

So, it appears if I want to use my ear buds I'm out of luck. Correct me if I'm wrong. Is the back light red? All the testing of the Manicore in iron will be different with a 6" coil. Testing with an 11' is bold but not right approach. Saw some of that today in CD's video using a 6" on the 900 and 11" on the Manicore. Lots of cosmetic things that are pleasing on

I have detected the same beaches CD is on and it's a bit of both. The EMI from some of the areas has forced me to go put the Tarsacci up and break out something else and still cut sens.down. Not sure what causes it but I have known it to just disappear. According to the meter on my D2 the sand changes so much that I run it in tracking to keep it balanced. Sure, Scott will have a bunch of vi

I've seen a video on the Tube showing the 900. Wow what is up with this marketing approach? Sounds like they took the tech from the Manticore. Has the Manticore body with much more nonferrous numbers and sounds like they may be using the next generation of multi frequency. Could it be that advanced? No price mentioned that I can find. I haven't been in the market for a new md but this

If I were a betting man, I would say it won't come out any sooner than February. About the same time as the Equinox did. I too will never swing an Equinox again Tom! I sold mine 6 months after they came out and haven't missed it at all.

From the pic its hard for me to tell if that's a "normal" position for the cuff. Looks like a lot of pole is hanging and might be in the way.

Would like the illusive 9" as well. I have to say from my limited experience that the 11 does have a tight "footprint". The right settings and an intentional focused swing can do a lot.

The CZ 3D was the unit for old tech that set the benchmark for air test a silver dime. I loved my F75 LTD. It was sparky and fast. I pulled lots of silver out of iron with the 5" coil. My Makro Racer 2 with 5 1/4" oval coil blew my socks off. Super fast for the time and had the right setting for a cherry picker like me. But still the most beloved to me for old is the E Trac. Still addic

I jumped from .6 to .71. It didn't change the WS6 from 6 and stranger is all my custom programs but 1 were deleted. It left the x-y program which is program 13. lol It was easy enough to upgrade the WS6 and pair it back up.

Check out Calabash Diggers fast program for iron. I used it with my 11" coil and while a bit of a handicap it pulled a 1906 barber dime and a 1912 V Nickel from a spot where a building burned down decades ago. Lots of trash. 4 or 5 reactivity and 1 iron volume square pwm audio. HH JR

Tons of videos on You Tube that cover a variety of ground conditions. Have about 6 custom ones that I just tweak if needed from x-y to Goldfield and a couple beach ones. Flexible as it gets so far.

Reminds me of the love for square nails that the CZ 3D had. Found that it would disappear when you circled the target. Nails would also move when pin pointed and end up in the side of the plug. Old school when there was no iron bias setting lol

It seems from the audio it saw the ring attached to the chain. What do you guys think? Nice find for sure. Friend was in same area last week and got a nice gold ring. Still if it had only been 14" lol
