Kevin, if I were you it is good to have a cleaner that cleans out old cookies and other various leftover data from downloaded files, installs, etc , etc.
There are a bunch of them, ccleaner is a good free one that works on most any computer platform. Its easy to install and run, keep a good anti virus and scan it regularly.
here is a link:
give it a try. If that does not work then at l

Tmanly, your ip may have been inadvertantly blocked due to spam.......a simple test to determine if that is the case try using an online
proxy browser such as proxybrowser.org
Just click on the link, type in this website in the bar where it says "enter address", then click "start browser"
If it works, then you know your ip has been inadvertantly blocked.
Thanks

Wow, I sense, a load of frustration, Tom, are you considering such an endeavor, that is if you
can't get the powers-that-be to seriously consider it ?

To the best of my knowledge the forum posts in greenwich mean time, Simply put GMT is the time along the Prime Meridian (0 degree longitude) which passes through Greenwich, England.
On the east coast at our current EDT (eastern daylight time) , just add 4 hours to EDT to get GMT.

Corey, I did read they had a vaccine for the EEE virus and that it had a 70-90% mortality rate for horses, but not one for humans....
Sorry if it makes politically incorrect, to consider all these unaccompanied alien children could be bringing even more diseases here.

I had never heard of chikungunya or EEE (eastern equine encephalitis),or MERS (middle east respiratory syndrome).
I have noticed that chikungunya is here in nc.,
A word to the wise, put on your insect repellant, even if you're just mowing the grass.
Found a near real-time map to check your area.(can zoom in/out)

Since we are dealing with induced eddy currents on the surface of the coin, how expensive or difficult would it be to simply electro-plate a metallic slug with the appropriate karat gold coating , all things equal except for the exact stampings ?

If your intent is to create a new platform for metal detecting for yourself in your name and for financial gain, I have great respect.
Yet if, you wish to bounce ideas into an open source, I commend that as well.
I myself have ideas that I willingly throw into the arena just for advancement of our hobby. So here goes:
1) why not look at EMI as a tool instead of a nuisance, as it penetrates

Keith I know you jest, but what if that is possible, it is possible to set the frequency to the resonance of the item that we seek, which in itself is a form of discrimination.
I wonder who is funding the research, minelab maybe ?

Awhile back, a Japanese engineer invented a sound recording device to detect counterfeit coins,
Now a 17 Yr. Old invents a detector that uses sound for de-mining purposes.
Could this be the future of our hobby ?

Tom, Since you took the time to actually measure the voltages of each battery prior to hunting, all of your batteries tested the same due to "no-load" on any of the batteries.
A very simple way of weeding-out the bad batteries is to take 2-alligator clips, one end attached to the DVM's probes (+/-), and the other ends attached to a 100 ohm resistor.
Go back and test again (w

I have to admit I have not always considered this.......
possibly others too....
Tom...this of course could also explain why suddenly, newer or older finds are intermixed with
little logical explanation...

It appears to me, the target demographic is dual, the mid-life-crisis guy, and
the younger, computer tech-saavy video editing nerd.
best of all it will only cost them a bartering of approximately $7500.00
Smart marketing, depending of course that they reach their "viral" video goal.

Have we ever considered that where a target is found is not because it ALWAYS sank to that point,
but rather because crap was laid atop of the target faster than it sank.

“Under Socialism, you would not be allowed to be poor.
You would be forcibly fed, clothed, lodged, taught, and
employed whether you liked it or not. If it were discovered
that you had not the character and industry enough to be worth
all this trouble, you might possibly be executed in a kindly
manner; but whilst you were permitted to live, you would have
to live well.”

If a thief stole from you, everything you had in one-fell swoop, you would
justifiably be madder than he**, But if he stole from you incrementally , slowly,
stealthily, fractions at a time, you may not notice until well into the game.
The turtle wins the race, and you may not even know he was trying.
sound familiar ?
