Hope Fishers next flagship comes out by spring and doesnt cost too much. The Vista detectors this forum is going on about sound pretty nice to me if Fisher doesnt produce soon. I cant image whatever they are cooking up at First Texas not to be exceptional. Might be years before it comes out though.

Used my F75ltd on many hunts with 11'' inch stock coil and my deepest coin was at 7 inches (wheat penny). Dug a 7 1/2'' wheat penny on my very first hunt with 13'' Detech. Didnt dig anything deeper than that on the rest of my hunts( 4 total ). I used the 15'' coil a for a few hunts and didnt find anything that my 11'' stock coil wouldnt have

I get the overload sound sometimes when I try to ground grab as well. I thought that was the detector telling me I have a good ground balance already.
I took my Omega out on a woods hunt yesterday with a friend knowing it would be the perfect machine to swing in the heavy brush and try to pop out an old coin or relic. Not to my surprise I had to run it with either greatly reduced sensitivity

Wow. I would love to have my Omega(black bars) run quieter around EMI. Wonder if FTP could upgrade it if I send it in to them. The Omega is a flat out fun machine to use, but EMI causes me to leave it at home too much.

The reason these machines depreciate so much is because they cost too much in the first place. A 600 dollar machine can be bought for 400-450 dollars used, so 500-600 off of a 2300 dollar machine seems about right to me. My local dealer only offers half for a trade in thats in like new shape. I understand how the dealers business needs to work, but anybody looking to get a new machine is bet

Ha... It will go atleast half inch deeper on a silver dime though. I'm guessing this countdown is for the pinpointer.

I took my At pro to a yard I hunted over and over again with several top name detectors and was very impressed with it. The audio is second to none when it comes to finding nonferrous items amongst iron. I was shocked to find a silver religious medal only and inch down that I dug two nails out with. I must of swept over it a dozen times with other machines. The very quick high tone blip mixed

Terradigger- Those are interesting results with your Omega. Strange that the 11''DD didn't get a response, where the other coils did.
Kevin B- You learned the most important lesson about the F75 in heavy trash-'' Keep er tame''. Too much sensitivity can make a mess of things.

That must be it. I live in an old apartment building with a bunch of seperate breaker units and multiple wifi channels. I find it strange though, because I can max run my omega with the coil unplugged with no problems, and it is more prone to EMI than my F75 ltd. Guess I'll just keep an eye on it...

ashhhhh...
Thanks for starting this thread/post. Sorry my reply was misleading. I had no idea my unit was faulty. I wonder if my units performance is subpar, being that I never noticed anything unusual about it.

I've got a CZ5 on the way to my place and it should be here soon. It's an older unit with the metal arm cuff and white coil bottom. What settings should I use to air test this unit? Is there an earlier post on here someone can point me to?
I hope this unit is a good one. Ive seen what a good CZ detector can do and it is impressive to say the least.

So the display should be still with no coil connected, even inside my house? I know I'm not having EMI issues out in the field. I tried(coil disconneted) with my sensitivity at 50 and disc at 4 and it would chatter badly, but if I turned the disc to 5 the unit became stable until I turned the sensitivity up into the high 70's. My Omega with the coil disconnected can be turned up to m

What is a PAR/above PAR air test for a clad dime with the 8 inch coil while getting a good repeatable high tone or even any kind of tone?

I grabbed mine real quick and disconnected the coil and turned it on. It looked like a slot machine. I'm not having any unusual EMI problems while hunting with it.
