run the Deus with 9" coil over your nail board sheet, like you have with CoRe and Racer's units?
And I enjoy your videos by the way. You have talked about the nickel with 12 penny nail test as being a hard test in some of our videos. And you go on to say that's one test you place a great deal of weight, in deciding for yourself to use a detector for unmasking/separating. You sa

Nokta, top-notched, speaks volumes. Keep it up, folks eyes are about to be opened with Racer release. Good thing. I have your FORS CoRe unit and I will say, it's not going anywhere soon but with me. Nice detector.

CoRe=epoxy filled
Racer=injection molded
Don't know exact weight differences. Have been comments that CoRE coils are light.
And the weight differences between Racer and CoRe may have less to do with coil weight differences, but a combo of coil and the rest of units.

I just skimmed the manual on pro arc. Manual looks like my LTD2 manual except a few tones missing 1N 2L and some more. Nice case though. Maybe someone will give better details.

One thing you Kevin you'll notice over some of the warmer ground is the hot spot on your coil when over a target is smaller on some detectors vs others. For instance I have a 10" nickel buried in 4 fe bar ground. My deus units both the 9" and 11" coils bust this nickel hard with loads of play in the coil position and sweep speed and still get a super tone. My newly upgraded

I hunt without headphones as well. But will say the machines with the better audio makes it easier to do. When it's windy or real cold I'lll wear headphones. Also when hunting near roadways and hunting with other folks I will wear them as well. In summer time would like to hear the rattler a buzzin if I start getting close !!!!!!!!!!!

Remember is just not price, performance that counts toward sales #s, it's marketing. Like Keith said internet open sales up. Probably Ace and AT Pros can be bought from more places on internet and in person throughout out USA than any other brand. Hard for a detector manufacturer to get monsters sales #s using 1 or a few distributors/dealers.
Some companies are hesitant I feel for whatev

I've run mine a little. Played with it over a few targets, not a lot of hunting using it. It seems smooth though. I'm not much of an AM person. Probably need to use more, I feel it takes more patience=something I lack most times.

Now for high end unit sales leaders, hum, Minelab sure does sell their fair share, I feel more than White's. And I feel a good gauge to render a guess is by looking at overall number of post on detecting forums; especially the forums that are subdivided among the brands and particular models. Folks with higher end detectors I feel are more likely to participate in detecting forum conversat

You have lots of choices. New White's Mx5, New Garrett At Pro, probably a used Fisher F-19, used White's MXT and more. Before you purchase you might let us know what area of country/state you plan to detect in. Not all detectors are created/perform equal when it comes to detecting in medium to high levels of soil mineralization.

I posted just to joke some. Some may not be impressed or like, but sometimes some good discussions develop from these "not so professional post".

I believe for the $150 price difference, you will get the large coil and a bag/case. Also, the CoRe coils contain epoxy, the Racer injection molded. I have more confidence with epoxy. There is a weight difference between the detectors. The Core unit does balance well. And I love the case the CoRe propack comes with. All flagship builders should offer the same. Granted it probably does driv

Sure did. While sweeping in dI2, sens at 94, dime was loud and clear. Dug down thru 10" of snow and sure thing dime was there. Gotta love the CoRe unit. LOL

I actually expect to see some great further enhancements from XP through implementation of new revision updates. Deus still a very good unit. Unit's respect should remain intact; regardless of what else is out there. No other detector company has introduced wireless-total, with as good a audio (not delayed, more real time) using wireless headphones. And the relic hunters when the weathe

Just remember, you do get the detector bag/case with CoRe propack. Hadn't used a racer, but will say CoRe unit with stock coil-extremely good balance. And remember the coils for CoRe are made differently vs Racer-CoRe's might give a longer in tune service. And from the Racer videos I've watched, I like the CoRe's audio better. Seems to have tad more VCO. Decisons, decisio
