I was detecting the beach today and grabbed the wrong pouch that had the garrett carrot in it. I usually don't take a pinpointer on the beach with me , well using tarsacci I had a strong signal every left swing just has swing was ending , I knew I was picking something up on my pouch, the pinpointer was it but even if I held pinpointer up to my forehead the tarsacci still sounded off. I lowe

As much as I loved the F75SE and used it for years, the equinox blows it away . When I lived in Ohio the nox was deeper, separated better, better on all conductor's. I did plenty of side by side tests with settings I tweaked to get the best I could out of each detector and the nox just did better . Now I hunt salt water mostly and no longer have any First Texas detectors. I use the nox , an

I stuck my Vanquish arm cuff in boiling water and adjusted it to fit slightly snug on my are and that actually tightened up the feel of the plastic some so not so flimsy. Did the same to all of my detectors with plastic cuffs. Never had any break. Without doing that you have to use arm strap because just too flimsy. This also saves money

thanks for the responses .. I ended up using a dremel to smooth down the sharp lips around the equinox coils edges .. I never use coils covers on any detector mainly because of what Tom just explained ... Then equinox has that lip all around the coils edge and several places on inside edge that would hang up on grass and make it tough to hunt in certain conditions.

I'm curious if anyone uses coil covers on the beaches or surf while detecting. The equinox has sharp edges on the coils to hold the covers on but they fill with sand and debris fast . Most all detectors I never use a cover but have smooth edges . The 15x12 equinox coil does great on the beach but to save a few ounces would be helpful on an 8 hr hunt ...thanks

Unfortunately I do see fisher following in whites footsteps. I don't own any of their detectors due to other manufacturers putting out better product. We will see soon enough. And what? They used Calabash to try and sell more product? Lol. Is that true?

Yeah same here, haven't went detecting as much as I've wanted. Plus the places I go for quick hunts have not had near as much activity. Beaches started picking up late summer early fall but had a direct hit hurricane, Sally, and everything was closed again. Here it is December and beaches are mostly empty butni did manage to order a Tarsacci and it will be here Monday. Should go well w

Well how long is warranty? It's a year old and coop said he would give 1 year through him . There has to be a value on used so $1500 new, $1000 a year or two, and $6-800 older? Just guessing here. Are they repairable?

I did the test. If iron bias is set to high then it has an issue with the dime on nickel test. Set iron bias to low and it operates normal and has no problem

Kenny yes they did use the short shaft. I still have my gizmo, but is there any way to do a 3D copy of them? Cheaper and quicker if you could do it .. like out of black plastic.. I do like the way Garrett is going though.

Very nice! I've dug those signals a couple times. A small silver pendant very deep was 1, and the other was an Indian at 10" or so and both still had the iron signal in hole after the good target was dug. Congratulations
