I don't know much about hunting in GB, but it seems to me that the gentleman with the Deus needs more practice with his machine and pinpointer.

Scored a Minnie and two round balls today. The Minnie showed a VDI of 58. The damn machine even told me the calibre of the target! The round balls showed up as 65. Pretty close.

Hey Tom...
Since you like the Explorer, take a look at the White's MX7. Much better meter, snappier, and reminds me of an improved Explorer. I used to love the Explorer. Had 3 of them.

My Troy Shadow X5 was a killer in dry sand with the 5" coil. Got tired of trying to find the little bits and pieces of foil. Found a few small gold earings. No chains, though. It would give a good beep on chains in my tests.

The secret to this hobby is finding the right places to hunt. A little luck doesn't hurt, either. Years ago, a fellow posted a picture of an Alabama plate. He had no Idea what it was. I looked it up and told him. then everyone else chimed in. He found it in a farm field in Indiana. Luck or skill?
