hi!..tom!
where ARE they being built now?..thanks for the kind offer!..i believe you have posted the criteria for checking the (d) in another post..if i decide to purchase,i will use the information from the post to determine if the unit is calibrated properly, and if it is NOT,then i will shoot an e-mail to you to discuss it further!.. again!..thanks for the kind offer!
regards!

tom!
i am interested in perhaps obtaining a "new" cz-3d from f.t...i am wondering if you have been in contact with them to determine if they are "calibrating" the detector properly BEFORE they are shipped,or is this step NOT necessary in your view?..failing that, would you be willing to "calibrate" the detector if it was determined that adjustment is necessary?..tha

i am happy to know the the 6" coil will possibly "bail" me out in some difficult sites!..thanks for the very informative post!

thanks tom!!
i believe you covered this before, however i am NOT sure,so i will ask again!
if the (e.m.i.) is being induced into the coil at a particular site,AND the site IS unhuntable REGARDLESS of settings, then will mounting the 6" coil to the detector make a difference AT ALL at THAT particular site?..my thinking is taking me to the fact that the (e.m.i.) is COIL induced,as you state

does this behavior POSSIBLY indicate a shielding issue of some kind?..or does it generally mean the 75 is exposed to STRONGER emi at the second site, and the circuitry cannot compensate for it?

excellent point!..well taken!..what i find especially appealing is the fact the area HAS been "beaten" to death by just about everyone, and EVERY detector known to man from late seventies onward to the present day!.i want to really work it thoroughly with the latest technology.(f-75)to attempt to determine just how "good" this detector is!..the terrain is perfectly flat, and is

due to time constraints, doesn't look like i will get out there again until monday!hope to "hit" this site hard,as it was the first place the settlers lived in 1635!.it is a wide open common, and my stategy is to get as much depth as the 75 will give me in any mode so i can thoroughly hunt it!i will do my best to make sure i am able to hunt this place as i have a good feeling there m

i am NOT being critical in any way!..i want to establish that!..i will get out again on friday at the same site and will try what you instructed me to do,and i feel it is a minor issue that hopefully will be ok!...i am positive you know what needs to be done, and once again my thanks for the sensible tip!..i will attempt to do both procedures and i have faith one or the other WILL work!.if

i will try that and thank you for the input!..does this also happen with any attempt to change to all metal mode too?..i was also advised to perform a"reset" and this also should work!..let me be more clear on what i was doing!..i was hunting along just fine with the detector set to disc @ 6 gain @ 80,and (de) process...detector was running sweet, and absolutely stable..I DECIDED

finally got out with my baby, and went to a 350 year old common.set it up with disc at 6. gain at factory, and 4 tones. gb was 75.i was able to push gain to 85,and left it there!..only had a very short while to hunt, and only dug one target a gum wrapper @ 5"..pinpointed dead nuts on and depth WAS acurate!..detector was "dead" silent.the common was ringed with high voltage power lines

really appreciate the insight!..sounds like the "60 cycle" interference will still be "manageable" at most sites!..what a relief!..i am reassured by yourself
AND others stating that even with "gain" reduced, and perhaps a "frequency" change, the 75 can still hunt deep and effectively!..tom!.have you determined in your experience that the 6" coil

in YOUR experience with the f-75,what "source" has been the 'worst" offender with regard to "60 cycle" OR any other interference you have encountered in your hunting travels?....thanks for your input!..

thanks for the insightful response!..this is precisely what i have in mind when i finally begin the "learning curve!"..i have read many posts regarding this isuue, however i must confess i got the distinct impression after reading your latest post on "f-75 funeral" that experiencing "emi" was commonplce EVERYWHERE YOU hunted with the detector, hence MY response!..it IS

hi tom!
i just got mine and are you telling me that the thing may be useless in city parks?..i realize that emi may be a critical issue, however if what you indicate is true, and you have explained that it is,then what may i ask wre the designers thinking when they designed this detector that way?..granted i "need" to learn the detector, but it sounds like i got "two strikes" o

hi streak!
hell i just got mine and haven't used it yet!.looks ok!..find out tomorrow if it "hunts" allright!..gonna use "factory" and see if it runs stable!..keep the desc at 6 and go with (de) at 70 "gain!"..if it starts "bitchin" i'll set the gain lower, and possibly adjust the frequency to f-7!..sound right?..any and all input appreciated AN

i know this sounds defeatist, and i am positive all hunters have encountered those exact conditions you describe, but to be perfectly honest, site conditions like those are more numerous than ever because of the "human condition"!.masking
"par excellence!"..re loaming down to the 3" level is in serious need!

i am genuinley dismayed by these revelations of the cz-3d's inferior state of tuning from the factory!..one can only deduce that actual sale of these detecors MUST be low,and of little consequence compared to the new "f" series detectors!personally, i believe if these detectors were selling better, this issue would never have materialized!

if i was to purchase one, would you personally be willing to properly tune it?.if it of course, proved to be in need of same?..again no disrespect intended!.i spoke out of frustration!

hi tom!
it's ok!i comprehend perfectly!..would not want to get involved with any liability issues!..i appreciate your efforts to make this detector (cz-3d) available to "coin shooters" everywhere, however,i cannot in good conscience justify the purchase of a possible "sub-par" detector!..i am disappointed to
