Seems like this forum members are interested in top of the line newer units...Might post on one of the classifieds or even the bay where you have a better chance of interested buyers. Pros and cons of asking for offers or offering at reduced prices...Certainly a plus if they come with warranties...

For your info having owed several Tesoro notch detectors all is controlled by a pot that could be turned and if you bought the unit used it may have been altered by previous owner
and all vary a tad which could be your problem. Hopefully Monte will chime in with his expert advice as been years since I owned a Pantera and forget settings...

CZ's on the whole coil for coil are deeper...remember the stock E-trac coil is bigger....however the E-trac gives a lot more info to dig or not....unfortunately have 2 boxes of crusty Wheaties dug by a CZ that I wouldn't usually dig with an E-trac…..down and dirty a lot depends on your ground ought to be noted also which may change the answers...

Parts limited but they still repair them....calibrate etc....indeed as long s they make 3D's they will have parts for analogs....
Good luck with the CZ 70 therover….

Harold good for you on the CZ70 pro especially as Bob in one of the best traders around... Got an older CZ5 as I prefer analog as a tad faster, easier to use auto tune and make finer sensitivity adjustments...just not a 3D fan but anyone of the models are just old technology at its finest and each to his own....

Old technology at its finest....Sort of feel naked without one....Ole Harold sort of retired my title but look for a comeback this spring so if you have an extra send it my way and perhaps we can deal...Dan

We hear so much about the detector of the Month and all will find goodies..personally over my span of hunting a pinpointer that worked gets my vote as biggest advancement of hobby. God knows I tried a bunch of detectors and all worked in their own way...PS: carry an extra battery as work best with a fresh battery...Several good ones on market so to each his own...

The members handled this question very well and thanks for the original post.
Down and dirty if you are an active detectorist way to go..if your not alkalines should suffice.
Personally feel fresh batteries give one that little extra.....Heck an inch or two deeper gives us the ability to find more...
