Seems like the passing of their founder brought changes and seemed to be down hill after that...I hope they regroup and come back strong as they do make good units..

Thanks guys appreciate your concern..Seems like thru aging our bones become brittle and seniors breaks their hip and femur weight bearing bones with falls...
On the good side she has a slight fracture in one of the small bones in her backside and will heal in time...luckily it does not move which is a plus....however very painful....

One fall and broken bone could certainly put one of you oldtimers out of commission for a long period..
I know from experience as just when my wifes problems were starting to stabilize she fell last night and after a long night in emergency room she has been admitted with no clear cut conclusion so if I did have asperations of coming back moved up to next Spring...just can't get a break wit

Wow mouth watering Sov. from an excellent trader...only unit I ever used where I could tell silver by the sweet sound even with a wheatie or Indianhead in hole with it..
Unfortunately if I do ever get out will need a good ID unit for clad in local park...Note for you Sov. guys put a XLT armrest on and move unit farther back for better ergonomics..

I would guess all areas differ so you are right on....the modern junk would drive you crazy in old areas now loaded with modern junk, however in areas you speak of a CZ3D trumps a conventional CZ as it would get the oddball targets others miss in including most gold coins. For the most part my areas have both new and old so I prefer one of the conventional CZ's but again it wouldn't hur

Indeed it will and I speak from experience..Near iron fences and places where big coils won't go it gets the ones others miss..again you have to swing slow for maximum depth and sacrifice coverage but its an excellent coil..

If you don't hipmount its weighting and comfort is better than the hipmountable CZ's and owned several over the years and found them to be as deep or deeper. Battery consumption is about the same so leave well enough alone...if you wish to hipmount have to change units..in this case newer doesn't mean better...

If you hunt real old areas CZ3D is the ticket, however if you also hunt local parks zinc pennies will kill you in enhanced mode and if you use the salt mode going to lose depth and likeness for gold jewelry in my estimation....Personally in this situation have a CZ3D and regular CZ for optimum performance...wow this is an old post and just my opinion...

Lack of responses especially on this high tech forum tells me either members rely very little on audio variances or perhaps not willing to share their experiences with various units.

Heck Explorers warbled but even on deep clad..not the best hearing but always thought I could pick up audio variances that my clubmembers could not and would bet the house even if other coins were in with silver such as a wheatie etc with a Sov...Tesoro told me a lot with audio variances but not with silver coins rather tabs, foil gold rings and such.
Have to admit the cursor movements and place
