Wayne I turn 59.5 tomorrow so I'm done. Thought about it for a long time and told the wife and she agreed. Time to relax and enjoy, what little I need, don't need much, I'm penalty free tomorrow. Been off 2 months now and lord it's great. With the way things are going in this country my kids probably won't get to do what I've just done anyway so just spending my time

My experience has been this. The location is a gimme. Why hunt someplace that is not a good location? I've seen more items masked than imaginable in the last year and a half on the same good locations that have been hunted to death. User comes to mind heavily, but I've never seen so much whining about some detectors like, mines making noises, it's just signaling on everything like

I'm one that with "each" target that sounds interesting I'll vary sweep speed right quickly slower, faster, and in between to see if I get a better identifying sound. Second nature for me. Saves a lot of time and if my, lol, brain cells match it to something to dig I'll give it that minute to dig it. I'm positive a LOT of people are beep and dig specimens in the way

I'll call it what it is, GREED, very prevalent in the relic hunting world. A lot of great ethical people hunt relics but the bad apples will have yourself with a fishing pole in your hands.

You have discovered the secret that makes these machines great. The ground will open up now for you big time. Congrats and good stuff you dug there. When you get that same type tone practice dropping the iron audio to 1 and check it again. Made a huge difference for me.

Good video, he's got that detector dialed into his head for sure. Don't know about you Wayne but I can't wait to hit that place again with the underbrush gone!

Goodmore that was talked about a lot. You went on several forums and told all of them vehemently you had bought a dead fish, a piece of junk, something that was not good. Then tried to sell it LOL. Not really understanding what you were doing to yourself and the resale..................... That was funny.

Yep some forums are in denial. Really it shows what type of detectorists some are. When you can walk behind any machine, any, and find stuff their machines jus

Quote; And also what is huge when using the passers is the operator skill level in the iron to determine noise from legitimate hits.
No truer words have been spoken and especially here lately it seems. I've been mulling over a post about this but alas, the frog still can't get in the cricket basket so I'll just let him look.
Right on Keith!

Brian I feel sure the R2 will pull some more coins. I was shocked at how much the iron audio possibly was masking hearing a good coin then we have an adjustable iron tone! Made a huge difference for me. JR sounds like you have learned the niche with the machine which is what's giving several a problem. You might not see that 85 or 83 amongst a blipping TID but you will hear that high tone ch

High gain machines don't run like Minelabs gents. They spark and sputter and show a lot of stuff in the ground most other machines do not see except to mask them from seeing good targets. The TID is going to jump all around per it is seeing stuff your other machines don't. However the other machines won't see whats hiding in these places either.

To add to that David the more targets you get under the coil at a time the more it really runs the scale up on all of the Turkish machines. All mine work great at 90 when I can't even get a good GB per the amount of trash. So I don't see a big deviation in performance GBed or not even in my garden.

I don't have a relic but ran a gold+ for a while. Nice sparky machine that would pull the stuff out of the ground for me. All it needed was 3 tone and it would be great. Well we got it! I'll pick one up eventually. Should have grabbed Daniels. What a lot of people don't understand if you ask me is the CoRe when it came on the scene was SPARKY, but boy it would open up the dirt. Si

What he said except where the R2 trumps is deep mode, WOW! I'd run the least amount of disc and learn the audio. The 5" coil depth will blow your mind.Cal_cobra Wrote:

Harold I could tell a big difference between the Sunrays and the ML coils on that machine. SunRays very sharp and pronounced, all the stock coils not near as much.

Should different coils on the same machine give you different reports, audio, nuances? I've noticed this with several detectors. Manufacturers coils, aftermarket coils, different size coils on the same machine. Who else has noticed this.....
