You get what you pay for comes to mind. In performance and quality. Is the Apex going to contend with a Nox or Deus or Anfibio at a fraction of the cost? Probably not. But it will contend with the Simplex and Vanquish.

Cal I know that's hard to believe but I and Keith have both experienced these results. Nox wouldn't hit my 10" dime no matter what the settings were. The Vista X smacks it easily. Why I don't know but it does. Even the little 5.7" coil for the X gets it but not as good.

I recall you saying that a few on here were liars and performing magic tricks and optical illusions on the use of the Tarasacci to talk it up to get sales. Tom even came out and said that you would get no advantage of getting one with the low mineral soil you have. Myself I'm still on the fence about getting one. But I hope to meet up with Keith soon to try one out. I hope he doesn't tr

Well I have been interested in the Anfibio but I think the newness has worn off of it and moved on to the Tarasacci and Nox. I may still end up getting one of them one of these days.I hear they are deep!

I'm sorry but the Tejon and Bandido II umax ain't remotely close to the performance you get out of the Vista X. The X has 2 tone audio and it handles mineralized so much better than either Tesoro.

With the stock coil it is deep but even the small 5" coil is awesome and deep. It's the deepest small coil/detector combo I've ever used.

The serial number is a lower number. Another way of telling is the battery packs has wired plug ins where the newer ones had drop in battery packs. And the early ones came with white coils.

Well I am going to try and get together with Keith and let him give me the run down on the Tarassacci and I'll be able to get a idea if it is for me.

Nope I have never tested a detector before purchasing it. But I also have never paid 1500 bucks for a machine that is just to big of a risk for me. I am sorry I even asked to see if someone has one to loan out. Some of the responses I've gotten on this post seems to question my honesty and character. Tom you can go ahead and delete this post I am no longer interested in the Tarassacci.

I just can't bring myself to spending that amount of money and be worried that it and I won't click. So if anyone has one that would let me borrow it to try it out I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks Morgan

Call me crazy but I have had the Nox 800 and 600 and now a Vanquish 540 and I like the Vanquish 540 more. It's one of the funnest machines I've used in a long time and I have made some great coin and relic finds with it. The V8 coil is awesome on it. And you can swing it all day. The only issue I've had with it was it randomly shuts off when you are detecting. After a few cycles of

I hate to hear of Des's passing. His detailed field tests have been so honest and telling that I have purchased detectors due to his reviews. You'll be missed Des. God Bless the family.

I think you know your stuff Cal but you belittle peoples metal detectors ( Vista X + AT-PRO and Gold) and act kind of like the bully we have all had to deal with in school. Calling people out on here and what not brings out the calabashing on you. I appreciate your enthusiasm and your knowledge that you share in your videos. I know I've learned stuff from watching them. But I wish that all o

Del I have all 3 coils and prefer the V8 for trashy iron infested areas and for cleaner ground I like the V10. The V12 makes it nose heavy and adds very little depth the only benefit I see if using the V12 is ground coverage.

Bill I use a custom program I created off of the relic mode. Pretty well notch in 11-14 then 19 & up. It seems to be working great for me and has a ton of depth.

Del any Minelab dealer can get you one. My soul ranges from 2-4 bar dirt on minerals. The pinpointing is as easy as pinpointing with a CZ.
