Maybe the other forums should read and digest the first amendment....
Yeah, I am a Canadian visitor here but I still admire the spirit and intent of the US constitution.
Express an opinion in a respectful and non vulgar manner and let it stand on its own merits, no one has to agree, just respect the rights of another person to speak.

One man's opinion, your mileage may vary:
For me any identifiable property is always returned.
It is just the right thing to do when the owner can be reliably identified, and looking at the bigger picture much more valuable to both the finder and detectorists in general as these kind of actions are supporting the hobby as a whole.
Obviously I cant speak for all, but anytime I can return a

Since we are on the subject of the F75, what is the difference between the F75 LTD and the F75+?
Reading the specs they seem pretty much the same except for the price that is....

Sad to see, don't know what is going on with Whites but sure hope they aren't in desperate straights financially.
Too bad the forum content is gone, a lot of the Whites faithful invested a lot of time sharing their knowledge on the mall.

All three of you, Deus diggers club.
You sure have some nice woods area for hunting CD, open and not too much debris on the forest floor.
Ours up here in the Pacific North West is thick as hair on a hogs back until you go about 200 miles inland.
Nice vid,
Cheers,
Drew.

Just watched several of your Videos Brian, Thought I would tell you I really enjoyed them.
I like it when the digs reflect real life and show the trash as well as the treasure.
Massive congrats on your half eagle! Well done sir!
Cheers,
Drew.

Compass Judge 2, at ten years old, couldn't master it.
Garrett GTI 2500 as an adult around 1995 or so, been at it steady, many detectors in the interim.

Hi Steve,
Will keep you and Sarah, and your family in my thoughts. Depression is much more common than many realize and it is a challenge to meet and beat it. My family and most of our friends have been touched by both anxiety and/or depression and a close friend's daughter just 15 had done pretty much what you describe happening. On the up side all of the persons that have had these episod

Very sad to hear Des. I almost always read the relic Hunter stories first when I bought a magazine copy and always marveled at the things Ed found.
I still remember a particular cannon ball he dug with the French Fleur de Lis impressed into its surface.
If I'm not mistaken I believe he was a teacher and used his finds to bring history alive for his students.
God speed Ed.

Very comprehensive report Mike.
It sounds like the F75 while shielded from EMI still picks up audibly on every little tick and pop in the soil matrix, is that correct?
Cheers,
Drew.

Hey Mike,
I have two new Rutus coils on the way from merry old England, Mars Sniper, and Rutus 4.75" round.
I will be interested to see how they work out.
I am enjoying the Alter 71.
Cheers,
Drew.

That gent has put in the work to assign the tone bins in the Rutus Alter 71 according to his test targets.
Just another cool feature on that machine. Whites V3i can do likewise.
Certainly helps but numbers can be skewed by ground effects, co-located targets, etc, but definitely helpful in cutting down on trash.

When I first started out detecting in the 1990's I had the Garrett GTI 2500. When it was carefully pin pointed, (de-tuned) over a target, then re-pin pointed at full strength the sizing feature actually worked pretty well. Size B were almost always a coin, even our Canadian crap rang in as coins, almost never fooled by crushed cans, small bits, etc as long as they were no deeper that approxi

Thanks again TNSS,
I am hoping to get the Deus out some as we don't generally go into a deep freeze here on the "wet coast'.
Too shiny to take out in the rain though, have the Nox for that.
Cheers,
Drew.

Now that I have picked up some good recovery advice here is my next question; I waited until version 5 was released and bought a XP Deus with the 9" X-35 coil, mainly intended for trashy site hunting.
Since XP has also produced a HF elliptical coil that runs anywhere from 68-81KHz in it highest frequency settings would you simply add that coil for micro jewelry/nugget shooting or look at a

Thanks All,
it sounds like micro jewelry is very much like nugget hunting in many ways. I will try these techniques and dig out my gold pan.
Thanks Tom,
good to know I can confirm a validated CZ unit.
Cheers all.

Thanks again Tom. I will certainly take your advice.
On another note, when you do a tuning on a CZ do you keep a record of the owner and/or the machines serial #?
I might be in the market for another CZ and it would be good to have a "tuned unit" verified as such.
Cheers,
Drew.

Thanks Tom,
I do have both of your DVD's and the beach one is in my player right now.
Started watching it last night, just past the sink rate part where you were in the "quicksand" doing the gold ring on a string demo.
Cheers,
Drew.

Thanks for the answers,
I was intending to only use this technique in dry beach sand in summer.
Mike I do have a TRX pin-pointer so I can give the Frisbee method a go as well.
Cheers,
Drew.
