Dew. Being out of warranty AND having spent most of its life in the saltwater is a major turnoff for buyers wanting a ctx. Most of the ones with no warranty left that I’ve seen sell haven’t brought much over $1000 and some even less. You’d probably do better splitting the package up/selling the machine with stock coil and any others separately as well as any accessories.

Count me in on that one -- I'd take a an old 100 kHz Compass type unit updated to a lightweight rugged machine with today's tech built in = what iron?

What I don’t understand is why someone feels the need to “test” 15/20-year-old units that most of us on this forum used for years starting when they first came out and/but all along the way have used most every unit since then too and many before then too but as though we’re all clueless here as to how they perform Versus how many of the machines of today perform when in reality it’s you and the

Thanks for the info Tom. I’ve never went that far in dealing with emi. I usually take 2 or 3 units and pick the one that makes 0 to the least amount of noise to hunt with! I’ll hafta give your method a try though

Thanks for sharing your hunt George and nice digs :-)
Hard to beat the F19 5x10” and 13” ultimate coil combo for buttons and injuns in nasty iron. It’s one of my all time favorite combos to this day

Confused here. Above you say tejon find and in reply to Keith you say Deus find??
Cool wabbit no matter :-)
PS
Finds don’t tell how good of a hunter anyone is,,, some people live where legendary finds can be made and some don’t. Can’t find GW buttons in places that weren’t established/occupied until 100 yrs after the fact.
What makes a “great hunter” is a guy that can use whatever ma

Brings back memories of using the ground hog and master hunter ads ll of yrs long gone to time Keith! I found so much silver with those units in my cutting teeth days that I’d be called a liar if I stated even just an approximation of the amount. That’s back in the day when parks on the outskirts of town and/or in small towns where they never seen a detector would produce the amount of silver in

Wtf don’t you understand about using a Tesoro to find iron infested sites in that you don’t set the disc knob to knock out nails BEFORE finding the site??
Is it that f’ing Hard to understand that you leave it on zero disc UNTIL you find the iron concentration??
Works just as good as a damn amphibio or Deus or multi kruzer or gmp, vgg, f19 and a billion other top lvl relic units.

Shows your lack of knowledge and experience.
You set the Tejon at 0 disc when you arrive on a new site (or any site) until you find the iron concentration and THEN set it to knock out nails and hunt away.
Also,,, any idiot that buys a relic machine (like the Tejon) to hunt parks/yards and the like to coin shoot is as dumb as your statement/s above.

The only take away from this bashing of the Tesoro Tejon in the video I get is that the operator doesn’t know that a true relic hunter using a Tejon would never use the 2nd disc knob/trigger combo in the 1st place which makes the entire test null and void to begin with.
The Tejon clearly did better on the coin with nails in the hole than the amph. did as the video doesn’t lie in the performa
