Noktka/makro really needs to figure out and produce some multifrequency detectors that is where minelab dominates. If they could figure that part out it would make them that much awesome.

You make some good points Junk and Disorderly. I realize they don't just gear these towards the US detectorist and our targets specifically. They are still a great company and make good products and listen to what we want. Mine should be here today....;o)

I see you can use notches to create a park pattern where you want to block out most junk and try to get coins. It seems that nickels hit at around 26 on the TID scale. So to create a notch to catch most nickels that may bounce a bit you would have to accept 21-25 and also 26-30 as the ID is right on the verge of two segments. Ten TID numbers. I kind of wish they would have programmed nickels to h

QuoteHaving read through the thread, I'm now wondering if I misunderstood the T's & C's of the sale .... c'est la vie , at least it has a new home.
Yes I think you misunderstood him. He was going to give you the metal detector for free if you pay the taxes or custom fees. He was going to declare the value at $350 not charge you $350.

That was an awesome thing you done TN. I had mixed feelings about selling mine as I got it for free but as a tester I put in a ton of hours testing and making charts, videos, etc. I know Tom probably put in hundreds of hours also. So in reality the detector was not really free as it was a lot of work and testing involved. I put the price low so someone could get a good deal and so I could have a

I have one of the test impacts that I would let go cheap. I have ordered an Anfibio and don't think I will need both detectors. I have cleared this with Dilek and she is fine with me selling it. Like I said it is one of the test samples and their may have been some changes to the final product and there is no warranty. It will come with the wireless headphones, two coils, the stock and the

> user knows I'm right. what we got here is some MInelab fanboys.
The CZ works fine. I probably could have spent some time trying to get a better signal out of the target. Could have re ground balanced etc but kenny was filming and

There is an ad on ebay for an Etrac. In the description it says "Up for sale is the incredible Minelab E-trac. I have had this unit for a few years and only have used it a handful of times. I am selling it because I just don't have time for the hobby anymore, and we are buying a house. Hate to see it go, but that's life. Hope it will serve you well!!! This unit has pulled dimes at

QuoteHey, Impact testers! Who is the tallest among you? How tall do you
think a user could be and still detect comfortably?
I am around 6ft tall and the lower rod is plenty long for me. I think it will depend on how you like to detect. Some people like to detect closer to their feet. I like the detector out a ways. I think I still have around two inches more I could extend it. Maybe they ca

QuoteA quick calculation gives coil power = 20 mWatt at 20kHz, and 80 mWatt at 5kHz.
And these would likely equate to 30mW and 120 mW drawn from the battery, allowing for inefficiencies, possibly more.
Yes I was thinking the same thing........

I have made some short videos of me actually using it in some local parks. I did not get too carried away and do a bunch comparing targets or anything but you can get an idea of how it works. Click on the links below to watch the videos.

QuoteIt likes bottlecaps,... so don't use it in a bottlecap infested hunt.
The stock coil falses on them like most of the other detector that use the DD coils, except for the Minelabs of course. But the smaller football coil does not hit on them like the larger coil does. It seems to put them in the 20's depending on the frequency of course. So you can recover some coins even in the

QuoteIs the pinpoint switch open under the head unit or closed?
It has a little rubber boot over the pinpoint trigger. Looks like it should keep most of the dirt out.

Quote I dont trust teesters as far as I can throw them
For the most part I kind of felt the same way and I am testing the impact. For years I have paid for my own detectors spent thousands of dollars in doing so. I have made a bunch of youtube videos and I am sure I made a lot of companies mad....Lol. I want to tell it like it is weather they like it or not. I will give you guys my honest opin
