Ok found an allen wrench that fits. Must be something messed up im manufacturing. It will not line up right. Oh well, doesn't hurt performance but you would think.............Don't want to put what I really feel.......;o)

I agree with you Harold and think the Etrac may even be a little better because of the way you can customize it. Both the Etrac and the CZ's are awesome detectors.

Just bought a new one but the disc knob is not lined up correctly. How can I get it off to line it up right? I see a little hole that looks like it should be a place to use an allen wrench but its not. Thanks.

Etrac for almost all of my hunting. I usually hunt public parks and other public places so I am usually dealing with a lot of trash. If its too bad I will put on the smaller coil. I am looking to get another CZ3D for some of the older sites I hunt. I use the pistol probe for my pinpointer.

Is a CZ3D calibrated to be used at old sites in the enhanced mode but more modern sites in the salt mode. In other words if you were at a newer site with a lot of modern clad would you want to use it in the salt mode so newer nickels would come in as nickels and zinc would come in as zinc? Can one be calibrated like this if not?

Wouldnt it be nice if you knew someone who worked there calibrating detectors. When they came across one that seemed to be ultra hot they could buy it with their employee discount and give it to you at a good deal.........Dont really know if they really could do that but it would be nice........;o)

I sold my 3D a while back (big mistake) and am looking for another one. I am a little leary about buying a new one even though the warranty would be nice to have. What if I ordered a new one and it only air tested 8 or 9 inches on a dime according to Toms standard. Would I be told by fisher there was nothing wrong with it and just be out of luck or would I be able to get it replaced? Maybe Dave

I think you may be missing the whole point of the pattern. It was designed for real trashy parks where I usually hunt and the low conductors and other trash is everywhere. I do not want to listen to all the trash and prefer to just look for the good targets among the trash. Sure you may miss some 2.50 gold pieces (dont even know if I have any in my area) and you will surely miss some gold rings t

Maybe they never figured out you can set it to 1, 2, 4 or multi on the sounds.....;o)

He was using the bigger tornado coil the 12x13. Albert, I did not really look at his display to see where the targets were falling. Just listening while he swung over the target. Yes the Etracs are incredible at pulling good targets next to junk. It seems the more discrimination you use the better they excel at it. On some of my videos on youtube you can see it happen. My videos are under the na

I know Ray personally and have hunted with him on several occasions. We spent the entire day detecting yesterday. I have seen him pull many deep targets with his Etrac. He does not exaggerate and usually does not even post his finds. The Etracs do excel in finding deep targets and not just silver. Ray has one of the Nel coils on his Etrac and it does go deeper then the stock pro coil. We compared

Is there really much performance difference between the Omega, T2 or F75? Not talking about features but if you took all three to the same site and compared deep signals would there really be that much difference between them as far as accurate TID, depth, seperation, etc. Thanks.

Tripod - 13 years ago
I bought one of those tripods from Ebay for $2.98 delivered. It came from Hong Kong but only took about 10 days or so to get here. Its works ok. Dont think it would hold up on a real camcorder. It works ok on the Flip ultra I got.

I am not brand loyal. I use whatever gets the job done I don't care what it's called......;o)
I have the E-trac, Omega and the AT Pro. E-Trac is number 1 in my opinion.

I bought an AT Pro in early Jan. and it falsed real bad so I sent it back to Garrett and they done whatever they are doing and when it came back it ran fine. It did not false anymore. It looked to me like they replaced the coil. I then bought the sniper coil and was not impressed at all with the performance. Needless to say I sold it.
I pondered it and thought maybe I didn't really give

I have the Omega and really like it but I hear good things about the F75. Which unit would you pick for coin and jewelry and occasional relic hunts and why?

This was posted on another forum too.
"Got my AT pro back from Garrett today. They did not say what they fixed. I called them and they said they replaced the coil and re-calibrated the machine. Looked at the coil bottom and it had allot of wear on it and had scratches on top. It was not the coil I sent them. I called Garrett and they are sending me a new coil. You need to check the coil.

I got the same control box back but a different coil. I marked the coil before I sent it in and I did not get back the same one. The falsing seems to have been cleared up. I will have to take it out this weekend and see as long as the weather cooperates.

The message below was posted on another forum.
I have one on order and my dealer called me today saying he had to send all of his stock back to garrett and they are going to send him new machines. He said there is a bad connection inside the control box at the coil connection. it is not the coil. he also stated garrett has fixed the problem and all new shipments are good. he is a big dealer an

I am sending mine back in to Garrett. Before I packed it up I took off both rods and just attatched the coil cable directly to the detector and it still falsed when I moved the coil around. I wonder if it is picking up the coil cable somehow. I shook the cable near the housing but it did not flase. It was only when I moved the coil around. Wierd.
