Thank you to all that have responded to my post...guess I'll start looking for a CZ6a,sounds like a good all around beach wet and dry sand detector....not looking for a water & surf detector just yet
Whats a reasonable price for a used CZ6a....??
Thanks Bob.

If you were only allowed one CZ model detector what would it be?
I'm looking to add ONLY one to my metal detector stable ....I live near saltwater beaches and also want an all around CZ detector.
Thanks Bob.

You buying a web site or metal detectors......smoke and mirrors won't get you a better detector...don't be ragging on the Canadians....oh I get free health care...just pay a truck load of taxes

Keith,
Can't say much for the older Omega's...just started detecting about a year ago and bought my omega then. It's works very well in most areas with little EMI interference...guess the lads a Teknetics must have found a way to shield the newer machines and make them a bit less high strung...I'm hoping a new F75 SE or T2 SE will have same stability that my other detectors ha

Well said ...Pastor Tom, " I believe there are mountains of superstitious beliefs in our hobby/field mostly based on the human tendency to predict from inadequate data. You can't always get the benefit of full information and so we make a best guess and learn from our mistakes, hopefully they won't be too expensive."
Thanks for your input...

Hummm....good point Pimento, never thought of the coils being suspect in a better or worse working machine...something to remember.
Thanks.

As some of you folks know I'm in the market for a new detector it's going to be a F75 LTD or T2 SE, after asking a ton of questions and reading countless post on various forums this is my biggest fear...spend over a grand for a detector that is not stable at 99 sensitivity and then have to run it at a lower setting because its just to hot in BP mode....
As Keith has said he has one tha

Triplehooked...You hit the nail on the head, yes that's one of my biggest concerns.
I've been reading many post and it seems there is a wide range of F75/T2 detectors that are a nightmare in EMI areas.
My problem is I live in Canada and don't have a dealer handy that would try either model detector first prior to selling it to me...guess I'd be buying a pig in a poke.

Daniel you have made some very good points...never thought about retaining the setting, but yes a great feature indeed.
Your starting to convince me....on a F75.
I've also been looking at dollar for dollar whats my best bang for the buck, for my situation.
Thanks for the input...

Well I guess this is going to be a harder decision to make then I thought....you all have brought up some very valid points.
Both detectors have very good reviews and it's going to be tough to make a choice..
I just don't want to be overwhelmed by either detector at the start so the simpler the better until I can learn to run the detector efficiently.
Guess I'll think it over fo

Why would you choose the F75 Se over the T2 Se for my application?
Is it because of a few extra options the F75 has over the T2 or is the F75 just a much better detector over all?
As for the beach I'm aware of the pit falls of wet saltwater sand....my Omega will not work on a saltwater beach, but
my G2 will work with some success in dry or damp sand..
Thanks Tom... looking forward to h

My primarily hunting will be working older homesteads, but we do have a lot of sandy ocean beaches as well
I do have other detectors a Omega 8000 and a G2 with all the extra coils,I currently use both machines for relics and coins/jewelry.
Soil in my area is average I guess, the Omega GB's at around 61 to 64....G2 GB's at 86 to 89.
Both machines do well but I'm looking for a det

Sorry....I don't have the luxury of having access to either machine,so it's all going to depend on reviews and real people with time on their detectors.
But I do wish I could try before I buy....
So I looking for someone that has a lot of field time on their T2 SE that can give me some pointers and then I'll make a decision on a purchases
Thanks Michigan

I'm curious who would be the guru of the T2SE knowledge,I've read countless post on various forums from many T2 users with a lot of field time...
Seems there many different opinions on what setting is the best in it's use on coins and relics...it's confusing.
I'm want to buy a T2 SE or F75 SE just not sure whats the best machine for me...

I'm looking for a used T2 LTD in good shape if anyone has one for sale....but they must be willing to ship to Canada.
Also if there's any extra coils that would be a plus...5'DD or 13"DD.
No knockoff Chinese crap please.....
Thanks Bob.

Ok... I found my answer in the omega manual... guess I should have looked first.
The Fe3O4 4-segment bargraph indicates the amount of ground mineralization,
independent of type, expressed as an equivalent volume concentration of
magnetite (Fe3O4).INDICATION % Fe3O4 SUSCEPTIBILITY
4 Bars -High 0.4 - 1.6 1,000 - 4,000
3 Bars -Medium 0.1 - 0.4 250 - 1,000
2 Bars -Low 0.025 - 0.1 60 - 250

Hi,
I have two detectors,Omega 8000 and a G2....what is considered mild soil as far a numbers go...
My ground balance setting in my area are around 61 to 64 with the omega and 78 to 82 with the G2, is this considered a mild soil or a higher mineralized soil?
Thanks

Need some help on deciding which coil to buy...can any one recommend or give their experience on either coil?
I'm looking for a larger coil for my G2.....Detech Ultimate DD 13" or NEL Tornado DD 12"x13".
Also whats the best place to order either coil from?
Thanks everyone

I'm currently running a Omega 8000 and a G2.I'm looking to add another detector to my stable...so it's a toss up between the F75 ltd and the T2 ltd, both run deep.... which would be the better all around detector for the price and options.... and why?
I like the Teknetics line of detectors...but haven't tried any of the Fisher products yet.
