NO way is the Explorer..Deeper than the E-trac......They both go plenty deep once you learn them....Numbers don't mean crap....you have to learn the sound and run the gain around half way....so you can tell, the deep ones. It is easier to tell a Dime and a Penny on the Explorer....But I think the E-trac...runs a lot more Stable(and I run mine on manual 25 all the time)..unless smaller coil!

Seems to me it separates great for a big coil!.....to me way better than the pro coil...can hear targets a lot better....I find a lot of stuff next to junk..You can hear a good sound by the junk...and just go slow around...a lot of times you can not pinpoint the good target...the bad one grabs it...but if it sounds different on one side going around ...DIG!

I run gain at 17, stock coin program.......sens. at 25...and I get real good depth here in California.to me having the gain at 17...makes it easier for me to tell depth and makes it easier to run sens. at 25....
