Yep, I helped doug with it. Nokta forgot to include the Setup program in 1.16 update zip. It only has the bin file in it. So unless you already had it installed you have to unzip the 1.14 update, install setup, then open the 1.16 bin file previously unzipped to update to 1.16 on impact. I'm sure they will list setup and updat bins separately in the future or make sure its alway included.

Tesoro has not evolved both technology and more importantly distribution/marketing.
Whites is next and FTP is on shakey ground. IMO
Garrett is stable but certainly not safe. No company is US or otherwise. Hobby metal is a small niche market in the grand scheme of things.

You'd think they would try to go lighter not heavy. racer, racer 2, impact, kruzer, Anfibio is starting to get that stale t2/f75 recycle vibe to me.

They have new fall promo's coming out Saturday. No new detector news. Although, we never did see what Garrett machine was being tested in that Bill Ladd video.

The sad thing is 3% increase in fees is a 60% decrease in profit for some of us. There just isn't money to be made. What's worse is buyer remorse free returns. You lose shipping twice because of the Amazon mentality.

Its interesting a lot of people like a full tones warble on machines but dont like inaccurate ID. the etrac and ctx have less warble because ID is better.

I believe the Update software still says 4 but when you run it you now have 5.0 available as an option on the update list. Haven't run it to verify.

99% of the time seller gets screwed on this sort of thing. Remember this the next time you haggle dealers on price . Lots of factors in operating costs.

we shall see I guess. seems like too small a market (beach and/pi)to sell large quantities or high cost.
Now if its a gold machine the numbers will be there overseas.
