Chest deep water is much easier to work than nearer shore with the long shore drift. You dont work nearly as hard because most of the time you are behind those waves and the rush back of water.
6" lower shaft length .... im in for that. Thou.... im not sure how much just a thinner lower will help reduce torque in the water without reducing the middle shaft size as well. The MDT shaft

I agree lengthen the lower shaft would allow what i want to do to that middle shaft. Thats push it further into the upper to compensate for the torque on the upper lock AND id still have the ability to extend the lower shaft for a better swing. There are like 3 holes im not using which shortens the length. It amounts to about 6" i believe. The spring clip is near the end of that lower sh

We have been talking about this off and on for some time. Im glad someone else is now not as attached as i am i guess to their machine LOL. Now the time guys to give Steve exactly what we want. Im of course a water guy..... i believe we need a longer middle shaft. I think having a little more shaft inside the upper will reduce movement which could cause wear on the shaft and eventually loc

So Gary.... Dimitar was at the hunt? I seen it to late. Was the ones shown with or without the battery upgrade and did you ask about waterproof? Didn’t happen to have the coil there did he? I assume one of the dealers was there.

At this point i guess my question is ...Tom, why would I want to buy a 12" coil when it has not been saltwater tested yet? You have provided no saltwater data yet, nor has anyone at this point? Is it geared more toward the dirt guys.... id kind of like to know that.

Thanks for that info Tom. Like Cliff, im on hold until i get a little more info..... and just when the coil can be ordered, not pre ordered. Thats more a list of those wanting it. I just seen a U-video on pre-order as well by Aaron. I hope ya get that coil soon and can give us a good run down. Thats a chunk of change .... but thats been said from the beginning. Got to hurry i see gold is d

See i had no idea there was another dealer here in Fl even. IF thats the official website they need to list the dealers. I noticed the MSRP is $360..... MSRP normally isnt the final price.. in this case it maybe. Pre-orders apparently are being taken by Aaron...... so we really still dont know when they will be shipped. Im hoping Tom can clear some of this up. Id like to have one.

Walker i understand the coil price will be released next week. I think at that point its release shouldnt be very far down the road. I believe we still want some beach testing. Hopefully that happens and we get the coil soon after. Some of the guys are in wait mode so if the price scare um .... they will wait for those of us who want the coil to talk about our results. Im wondering if after

Im no math whiz Tenn..... my gauge will be once the coil hits the wet sand or goes in the water. Difficult to do salt water hunts up North right now..... but id like to get a little more info out of Tom as to what this coil might do IN the water. In some ways we always buy detecting equipment hoping it preforms like we think it might. However, im hoping all these videos dont delay the relea

Steve..... there sure has been improvements in recovery speed as well. Id sure liked a fast recovery on the good ole Explorer...... or even the Xcal. I kind of chuckled when you talked about them hearing things you really couldnt. I used to hunt with a young guy...... he was really good at hearing deep silver coins. Had a knack for it .... but i think also he could just hear what my old ea

I can tell you i have to re-epoxy my cover about ones a quarter. That stuff is TUFF..... a disadvantage is the cover has a little flex to it in the water so if i were just dry sand hunting like only once a year. Those coils now days are rock hard...... but they are also expensive to replace.... and i have no doubt id have to replace them without using the method i do.

What I see Steve .... to often what stops um in their tracts is loud targets. They hunt fast for recent drops.... and miss out on tones they aren’t used to listening. It did help having pitch hold. It clicked with me one day park hunting with an Explorer. It was like what is that..... then I realized there are targets... deep targets I was overlooking. There comes a point that you hope you

Then there’s me. I use coil covers.... why I’m really scrub that coil. I’ve not had a coil cover yet I didn’t have to replace. When I first started about ever 6 mos it wore thru. Now I also add loctite marine epoxy on it. When the machine starts getting chatty and I know I’m not close to the hard pan.... I clean it out.

The 10X5 would be interesting to try in the salt water.... not so much for depth but for additional sensitivity and noise reduction. However, im not a fan of the company..... and this size coil from them has had issues including a lot of chatter..... hopefully this will be better. Its a wait and see once we get past the initial users wanting to do u-tubes for a little recognition.

Odd that coil didnt get to you FIRST Tom. You seem to be a real contributor both in marketing and tech. But i realize they are doing U-tube videos and you try to be neutral and fair to all the companies you deal with. For me .... i dont really need another video from the frozen North as beach guy. That just seems to be another delay ..... i seem to remember a certain detector that didnt get

Ya.... I’d like to see it soon. But I’m impressed with the MDT improvements making it waterproof and what appears to be a second coil ... all during this virus. Hoping this coil is kick ass. I’m ready to get one in the water.

Not IMO. The Nox can loose targets in the surf. It could be because of the auto GB. I manually set my GB on the MDT. The water is constantly moving... so black sand, flakes of non-ferr targets and just the salt water and air gap has its affects. The old explorer never like air gaps either.

Hey wait a min. Im in Fl year round ..... and in the water lol. But i dont do u-tube. It doesnt look to be 12".... but i dont care if it gets me more depth in the water. Now have we got a target date or are we still waiting on that mold? Id like to have seen those ears a little more in the center as well. Nose weight causes constant movement and wear. I was kind of hoping to get a pe

You might have better results reaching out to a university in a state where more have been found and of course more research has been done..... like AZ or NV. I know Doc of Docdetecting in Vegas and the guy who invented the swingy thingy had a guy who used to hunt them a good bit. I hunting with him many moons ago when i was traveling. Back then he used an Explorer and the sweet spot what th

Here in Fl it seems like real estate is the big boom. Home are selling like hot cakes and seem really over priced. I think gold prices will depend on if China and India starts buying and taking quick profits to drive the prices. People are running out of places to put there money locally when i say people im talking about those less fortunate. Banks arent giving anythings yet they not get m

At this point... I went with window 2 ... put it in a box until some one on eBay sells a charger to fit it. Silly to pay $60 for a charger if the point is to wear it. It appears to just be to monitor sleep. Where as I can get a watch simulor to a Fitbit and IP68 for less than $30 shipped. I’m not that curious lol

Pimento....... please read this and tell me what you think its saying:
Is it just saying you need to back up your data and return it to factory settings to PROTECT you privacy...... or is it saying that HAS to be done to delete it from your account so another person can bluetooth connect? The FB people seem to be seeing it two ways as well. Ive got a message in to Oura to clarify it.

It more of a novelty to have since its a found gift lol. But you are right in that it the cost of a charger is more expensive than some of the fitness watches that do more. However..... many of them are NOT as waterproof as i need for constant wear. Also... battery life. Id have to take um off for in the water hunting and at night to recharge. Im lazy ..... thats why i wear a dive watch l
