I'm looking at adding BT to my F75, cords are so 1980's!
It does seem like the Racer BT upgrade/option is a bit on the expensive side IMHO.

Nice going, that coins doing well!
I've found two of 1901S Barber dimes, both were found in the SF bay area.
Interestingly I was hunting a park demo in San Francisco a few years ago. On one trip there I got an 1892S Barber dime, detail wise is was in great shape, but it had black environmental damage. Shame as it's a semi-key date coin. On the other side of the park, on a diff

Thanks Tom. Truth be told, when I tried using 0 disc vs 1 disc, it still ran better then it did before the DST upgrade. I always used to run the disc between 4-7 pre-DST days.
Great so 0-1 disc is resulting in less audio fatigue, bett

I was thinking about trying this bluetooth transmitter:
I have their BT receiver that I used to make a TDK TP6803BLK Boombox (this isn't your fathers boombox!!) work with smartphones, and it works great. I don't know if the BT transmitter would have lag or not?

I was hoping to test out 2L mode at an old relicky late 1700's site , but couldn't take the mama buggy pinpoint audio, so the F75 Ltd2 is on the way back to remedy that. Instead I used 3H tones and felt the hunt went well. There's not a ton of iron at this site, so it may, or may not have been advantageous to use 2L. Typically I use 3H almost exclusively, but want to experiment

I detected a park scrape yesterday with the F75 Ltd2 setup in 1 disc, 99 sensitivity, BP mode and 3H tones and it ran smooth! I've never been able to do this in the past without the machine being unstable and/or overly noisy. I actually started off in 0 disc, and it was a little bit noisy. I pulled the saddest looking standing liberty quarter I've ever seen, shame as it's only

Paul one other thought that would allow you to have your cake and eat it too, so to speak. Make a map background that covers the entire inside of the display and then mount the finds to that?
Just a thought,

Paul they're both great!!
It's a tough choice, but personally, I'd lean towards the one with the map. It adds historical context to the display.
I'm sure they'll be thrilled with either design, I mean geesh gold coin, silver coins, awesome relics, what's not to like?

Keith there were some magic disc values on both the F75 and T2, do you recall what they were? IIRC a disc of 22 on the F75 put it into a reduced gain mode.
I believe that Tom D. posted them.

You can push the gain further if you set your disc to 0.
Given that it still applies to the F75-2, there were certain disc level settings that would kick in additional sensitivity/gain. Sorry I don't recall what they were, but IIRC once the disc went over something like 4, the sensitivity went into a somewhat reduced mode. I believe the T2 also had similar characteristics.

I once got a V nickel that was fused to the back of a square nail that came in at a solid 18 on my F75 TID. I kept the V nickel and the nail

Seems that most of the older sites I get into are loaded with a variety of 22 and larger cal bullets. They only ones I really care about are musket balls and three ringers, those are almost always solid signals though. Depends on the site for me, I tend to dig the 22 and other cal bullets too for a while, as you never know, but their TID is typically jumpy, and depth readings are off (always sa

The non-DST F75 did pretty well for a clean second hand one!
As I have a brand new T2 DST coming, I'm kind of planning to test it against my F75 DST and will probably keep whichever one I like best and sell the other as I don't see a lot of reason to have both (I could be wrong?).

Sorry I tried to search, and came up empty no matter how I searched.
Someone postedabout a GPS Parcel Land Owner app they found that they really liked that made it easy to determine who a land owner was, or if it was public land, or whatnot, but I can't find the post (and am not 100% positive which forum it was on).
Anyone know of the name of this app? Sure would be a great resource to

Daniel Tn I agree with most of what you're saying. I've not used one of their machines, but am impressed with the fact that they listen to their customers. If the Red Racer is a deep seeker, and with good audio/TID, then all these extra features will be nice to have. Personally I think the backlight on my F75 sucks big time, the fact that I cannot shut it off, seriously, on a machin

Love it, adjustable backlite!
Bluetooth module!
Ground tracking!
3lbs!
Trigger!
Looks like the TID is similar to the Omega & T2.
QUESTION: when does it start shipping?

Needless to say, after the Fisher Facebook post, and Mike Scott's post, I though the FT crew would be up on the DST upgrade issues.
Looks like you need to get to Juan and he'll take care of things. After seeing the reports posted by others that got their machines back the second time, it looks like they have addressed the issues.
Fingers crossed
