I have the MMK and Legend and I think one way you could look at it is that you could make the Legend do everything the MMK can do but not vice versa.
The Legend has SMF which is a game changer if you hunt mineralized soils or salt water beaches. That said the MMK is a fantastic machine IMHO, it's great at unmasking, plenty deep, great build quality, and waterproof. It opened some site

Kind of a crappy video actually, but there's some takeaways from it.
Thank god the audio is Equinox like, someone on another forum suggested it was similar to the F75 which would honestly in itself be a deal breaker for me.

I tried to post a link to my YouTube video, like I always have here in years past, but the forum software $h!ts the bed with a big error.
Everything's text, so no idea what it doesn't like and the error message isn't exactly forthcoming:

Hi Keith, I agree there should be some rebel relics out here, there were lots of Southerners that settled out here, and during the Civil War the Union Troops had all kinds of blockades and patrols to keep the Southern loyalists under control. So I don't know, maybe Tom_CA knows of some, but I haven't. I've seen plenty of other rare buttons dug out here, just no Confederate ones t

Nice history save! Just don't find stuff like that out west, honestly I don't know of anyone out here that's found a Confederate button, but plenty of Yankee buttons to be had if you know where to look

Are you hunting in full tones? I try to force myself to use full tones (like I did on the Equinox and I think it paid off), but I see most are using the 2-6 tone options for relic hunting around iron. In a couple of weeks I'll get the chance to get to one of our remote western frontier/Spanish outpost sites that came back to life with the Equinox. It started to slow down on the last trip

Years ago I detected the parameter of an old sidewalk to a side entrance of a lake house that had been turn down (I believe it burned down). I found a 1964 and 1965 quarter side by side, yet not another coin around the whole place.

Thank for the report
The 1.08/1.09 update's look like a winner! In a few weeks I'll be making an annual journey to a back pocket western frontier site that's been good to me, but it had all but dried up until I took the Equinox there. Now it's slowed down again, so I'll see how the Legend does there. The Legend may be the new cleanup machine, as it's doing rea

We do this all the time in the field. Get an iffy signal, scrape off some topsoil with your boot and check the signal again, and often it will clean up if it's a good target.

It's been so long since I've used it, I don't recall. Probably been 12-15 years since I last used one

Dilek said it would be updated after the release, but it could take a couple of weeks as their priority at the moment is getting the release vetted out for public consumption.

Tom I know we've discussed this phenomenon over the years here, it's always been a topic of interest.
There are sites that I have observed doing far better (deeper silver coins, deep sounds are more clear, more keepers in my finds pouch, etc) when the ground is damp/moist vs dry.
Out here many of these sites have ground like cement when the ground is bone dry in the summer. I re

If I recall correctly the Nokta Impact also has TID's specific to each frequency, but it also has a "normalization" option as well so it should be an easy thing for Nokta Makro to implement in a firmware upgrade.

If you were happy with your Equinox, you'll definitely be happy with the Legend, and it'll only get better as they roll out additional firmware updates and Dilek noted on an update a day ago that there's at least two coming soon with more to follow and three new coils were announced as well, although it was unclear if they planed to actually make all three, but they also said they
