I'm assuming you're cherry picking deep oldies in the midst of modern trash. The D2 has some kind of "Deep Park HC" mode (HC short for High Conductor). Would love t

Happy New Years!!
Got out for a New Years Day hunt with TomCA and a friend of his, and everyone made some great finds! Tom hit a home run, but I'll let him share his good fortune. After seemingly endless rain, it was great to get out and detect with friends on New Years Day and see everyone go home with some nice keepers!

I have a collection of trash targets, including a wide variety of pull-tabs, crown caps both in various forms of decomposition as well as newer ones, square nails, and no shortage of nuisance park and/or relic hunting items.
Rumor has it TomCA was going to flag some uber deep old silver from a local park to test how the Legend would ID it...we'll see if he accepts the challenge

Thanks Steve, I thought so too. It hasn't even been washed off. We're starting to notice that the finds either come out in beautiful condition, sans iron, they look like the day they were lost OR they come out with this fused sand type o

Nothing scientific, it's the first test I did on the Legend so I could get familiar with a variety of targets one could encounter when detecting in the U.S.
I do a quick walk thru testing Field Mode in full tones on a variety of targets to check out the Target ID aka TID and audio characteristics, as well as some of the settings of this new Equinox challenger as we get ready to take it

Ain't that the truth!! I've made some super nice finds that remained undiscovered until they were more apparent later, I call them Easter eggs.

One fun element of this hobby that's always been filled with Easter eggs is those bits and bobs you find and chuck in your finds pouch thinking you dug junk. Only to get home and discover while going through your finds that your trash is indeed treasure after further cleaning or whatnot. TomCA and I checked out a site a few days ago and not far from where I dug a beautiful and rare large P

Got out with TomCA yesterday for some relic hunting at some early western frontier sites. I ended up going sasquach through super heavy brush in search of the goods and it didn't disappoint! It may have been an all time record for me for buttons, not only in quantity but I also ended up digging some rarities! Although not the best find of the trip, I dug a super old 1600's-1700'
