My Pulsedive is on the UPS truck and arriving Wed.! Shipped out of TX, bought from Bart in Norman, OK so I am assuming a drop ship from distributor- could be wrong I suppose. Risky business to assume.

The video seemed to be shot in dirty water while out of focus. Can this be a hint that their next unveiling will be out of a storm drain instead of an airplane? I am on the list for updates, but this is not very informative. I even cleaned my glasses and rewatched it. I even rotated my phone 180 degrees in case it was in Australian. I'll just have to wait I guess.

My 8000 is S/N 11 and I can usually run it on the highest sensitivity even in the water. My buddy Larry has #12 and he cannot. His unit seems at least 3 or maybe 4 numbers hotter than mine. Dimitar has offered to swap out one so they are the same and we declined. We end up at the same level for stable hunting, he just has a lower setting, we are fine with that. I think Larry likes that he ca

I think I am down to 11 and seeking to find homes for many of those, so I understand a bit about that. Not knowing exactly others experience and skill levels and trying to make somewhat general commentary I hope you didn't feel slighted. I've more experience with the 'nox though I first swung a Tarsacci over 18 months ago. I have seen the range on targets stretch in ground with

I know NASA Tom has emphasized experienced users for this unit, but as it runs in such a unique way you have to be able to disconnect a lot of your expectations based on that experience (somewhat like with the Equinox only more so, IMHO). I expect there will be misunderstanding of this analysis, but I hope there will be some who see my point. These units are so fast and so precise that it'

Yeah, I've heard that. Shame it was one of the historic core companies. I enjoyed my TDIs, though I didn't use any other models. Ya gotta move into the future or get locked in the past.

Dude? Did you really need to resurrect a 2 year old thread about MX7s to say you bought a used MX5 and found some good stuff? How about getting bold and making a new thread?
This might be post holiday, morning grumpiness. I am not mad or anything.

If this turns out to be a dud it will be the first one in my opinion! They have an amazing track record of quality detectors and superior support.
I have a PulseDive on order. So I am willing to go there sight unseen.

I am happy with my Sampson, but I could go this way if I couldn't get a Sampson. I also prefer no root cutters on my diggers. I cut me more than the roots. Looks like a real nice shovel!

It's a completely different situation there. Archies are SOBs everywhere (IMHO). They have a lock on most of our key historical sites and the media support for their disinformation (IMHO) that we ruin and they preserve history. As they have more than 10 times the historic finds there, the pressure for regulating is much greater. They are in the process of making things tougher there, I h

One more thing... I am pretty sure the price mentioned does not reflect the 15% reduction announced for the entire line of Nokta/Makro now that they have centralized US distribution.

I ordered one as soon as I saw they were taking pre-orders. I am told mid May likely shipping time. Now how to find a work around for the headphones... any thoughts? Too soon?

Blind diagnosing is always dicey. I start checking connections, coil wire integrity and clean under coil cover - assuming it appears to power up ok...
Swap coils if possible then send it in if need be.

Fire up the critics... I believe part of the bounce with the 600/800 (and other super fast units) is actually multiple readings of the target itself. It feels something like an analog signal because it has such a short recovery time it's like a video vs a series of single frames, a machine gun vs a semiautomatic being rapid fired. Am I wrong? It's theory, opinion, impression or thou

Having just been blessed to be a part of pre-release testing a new detector, I can certainly appreciate what the HunterGT is saying (though more fiber might help). I can also appreciate the momentum generated by speculating on a potential breakthrough detector. Can't we all just get along?
We have been promised this mystery PI for several years and emotions and expectations are running

Just throwing in my 2 cents: I agree with Rick on the improvements in Minelab service repair in the US- fast and friendly (reasonably affordable IMHO). Also that other than a Deus, most detectors are susceptible to damage from impact. It seems Prius builds are selling better than Hummers, so to speak. It looks like the Equinox profile is the trend from what I see in new units coming out.

That picture caused my pulse to race! Then I wondered how long after it is released will it take for headphones to be available and will they make an entry level model. Oh wait, its Fisher- we're good. Seriously, that looks awesome! Now I need to figure how many old detectors I need to sell to pay for it...
