Bingo Harold! I do live on the east coast, about 30+ miles outside of Philadelphia PA . . .basically where the country started,

Tom, that was a quick quick study on the D2. I have to say, I'm a little disenchanted. Is there more coming? If not, I completely understand if I put myself in your shoes.

I met a guy today that said he had an old 1800's property. I asked him if he or anyone had detected it. He said he did, and found some nice old coins including a flying eagle cent. He said he has a Whites MXT Pro. He asked how much I paid for my latest detector, told him around $1500. He said he paid over $2000 for the MXT new a few years back. I thought to myself, he's mistaken, they w

Sorry Tom, I had to chuckle at this thought that passed through my brain. It may be that the technology made a longer leap when the cz3d or even the f-75 were introduced to the market verses the Deus2. The floor time for the f-75 was extensive compared to the D2. Yes, I am bustin your chops a bit, but not in a derogatory way, just an elbow with a smile. My guess is because the D2 isn't anyth

Tom, interest isn't dropping on my end. The reason I purchased the D2 was because of its DNA for unmasking. That's what 'd like to have dissected, how this baby can be configured to beat all in pulling the coins out of a trash mess. Does it have the DNA like or better than its predecessors? I'm saddened that you may have lost interest or the unit is not keeping you excited to

Tnss, After watching the first video you posted, another one came up. The one where you notched up to 83 with the foil on the 2x4 and the merc dime below and off to the right. With no notch the ID was in the 30's . . . . notched to 83 the darn things ID hit 91, exactly where a dime hits on the D2. That was a mind blower. I'm not a user of notch because it's another form of disc . .

Tnss, I like when you mix up programs and try different settings like that. I don't get to experiment like you, for one I'm not cut out to do that. I need to learn this unit, and I need to get the update. Keep em coming!

Having fun yet,Tom?
I think you will have to go over the manual. All types of hunting are programed for us and customizable. Want to keep/save it? Put it in the custom department. I'm not used to that either. I'll be at the Jersey beaches soon and the 8000 will be my sidekick . . . . not sure I want to waste my beach detecting time with a unit I'm still scratching my head with. I

Well done calibash. Hunted the f-75 wide open no disc no notch, full power. Yes, it would act up and find deep iron. What I really like about the D2 is not only the unmasking ability but the darn accuracy of the ID. It hits the same numbers in the ground as in air, that amazes me.

NASA Tom, use the little tether that comes in the box if you are going into the surf. No instructions on it. Just attach it to the remote (you may need tweezers) and slide the loop on to the shaft. When you extend the shaft to hunt, the tether on the shaft will wedge itself between the shaft and the handle hole where the shaft slides through. Wouldn't want the remote to pop off the first da

When the wife is down so is the rest of the household/family. . . hope she is coming out of it and back on track. I believe forum members are cheering up because you are posting again . . that says something about a man . . . glad you are here again, Keith. It's been 2 machines in my arsenal since your last post here, a Tarsacci and a Deus2. I also retired and seems like I have more projects

Now that the forum is restored, punch it up and post away, folks . . . . . telling that to myself also.
Who's using what machine and how is it treating you?.
I haven't been out in some time due to list of chores, heat and grand kids swimming in my pool . . . hard to get them out and wifey and I have to be life guards.
I will be using my Tersacci 8000 and my Deus2. Definitely the

Trying to understand this . . . . for the D2 to connect to Grey Ghosts wired headphones, you need an adapter from the remote (6 pin to an 1/4"female)? Where can one get this adapter. Is this adapter for any wired headphones with 1/4" male jack? So we don't need the puck to hook into the head phones? Can they be paired easily to the remote?
I don't like the back phones that

I have the 9" and hoping the 11" will be killer deep. I'm waiting for my local dealer to ring me when he gets one in. . .not holding my breath. I also want the over the ear headphones . . .those back phones I can't get use to . . .too much surrounding noise . . .I can imagine what it's like at the salt beach with waves and birds pounding and squawking.

You can set up the D2 do better than the CZ. D2 is way better at unmasking, as deep + , faster, lighter, and more options. It's not as simple as the CZ. If all this is ok with you, order one up. Would I sell my CZ, no, but I'm a sap, it found me a gold coin.
