I've got a cz 70 and that machine is built like a TANK! I love it, however its only air testing a dime at 6-7" I'm gonna send it to Broken Detector Keith willis said he can get ti to work alot better. My buddy just picked up a CZ 7a off Craigs List for $200. It has been well used, infact the bottom of the coil is really badly worn. He needs to either put a cover or some marine epoxy on it and the viser is missing a piece around the instrument panel. But other than that the thing works perfect! So I guess what I what really would like to know is how important is the air test? We all know the air test doesnt really tell actual depth. Real depth is from something that has been in the ground for a period of time and developes a "halo" or matrix from the mineralization. I unfortunately purchased a new sub-par 3d that only air tests at 6 inches. When I called Fisher and told them the problem and explained Nasa Tom says that it supposed to air test a dime at 10-12" they said "Nasa who?" I said Tom Dankowski the developer of the 3D, he says never heard of him. Well, anyway if your interested I posted the rest of the story on Findmall

Just got my 3d today. I really like it, (just like my cz 70) although bummed because I couldnt use it because it started raining right when I finished work, figures. I'm alittle concerned though. I air tested it with a dime at only 8 inches, sensitivity set at 6, ground at 5 (as per Nasa Toms instructions). I thought I read that Tom says that the 3D does not air test that well anyway.
