Thinking of getting a Deus 2. Have a Equinox 800 with the standard, 5x10 and 14x15 coils. Also have the Eds. fiber shaft. No warrant left on the Equinox. Any ideals of the fare trade in value or out right value so I can get the Deus 2?

Yes funny I know. Just wanted to see if there was any short waiting list. Sometimes dealers will preorder them and set them out to sell.

Yes but, did you see how much they want for one on ebay. I thought these coils had been released. I haven't heard or seen hardly any videos or people talking about these coils. I can't understand why it's taking so long to get preorders filled.

Guys I hate to keep bringing this up but, I just talked to Treasure Mountain detectors and they still haven’t heard from coiltek on when the coils will be deliver. I have been on preorder from the beginning. They can’t figure out what the problem is on receiving the coils. Just wondering if anyone has heard anything? Thanks

Is anyone receiving there coiltek coils? I have had a preorder in since Jan. or Feb. Still have not received my coil. Keep messaging the dealer I ordered from. Said he is frustrated with coilteks service. He doesn't even know what the hold up is. He can't even give me a date when to expect a shipment.

Anyone that has received the 5x10 coil what is your take on it compared to the 6 inch and the 11 inch when it comes to separation and depth?

Does anyone know what the big delay is on the Coiltek coils for the Equinox? They were released and then nothing. Just wondering what the hold up is. Thanks

I'm personally leaning toward the 5x10 coil hoping to get greater separation than the standard and extra depth over the 6 inch coil. Don't know if it will get as good separation as the 6 inch or come close to the standard for depth. Looking forward to some reviews and videos

Tom or anyone tested these new Coiltek coils and how do the compare to the 6,11 and 15 inch coils already available by Minlab? What kind of separation and depth do they offer compared to the other coils?

Tom D. can you weigh in on this. I always thought minelab detectors did much better when it comes to depth and separation when the coil scrapes the ground than swinging it 3 or4 inches above the ground. No air gap between the coil and ground. I have used both the CTX and Equinox and have always had great luck using the Equinox in trashy parks, fairgrounds and iron sites and have pulled many deep

Just tried using the 4khz to hunt a old park I hunted hard using the Equinox in multi. Was wanting to see if I could pull some silvers that I may have missed using multi. Found 2 wheats and some modern change but, no silvers. I did notice the Equinox ran very quiet in 4khz. So I don’t know yet if there is any advantage in using 4khz over multi when trying to hit silvers when dealing with bottle c

Seen a video where A guy shows he did the update 3.0 and ran a coin under his coil and the coin sounded terrible. Then he did a factory reset and the coin sounded great. Should you do a factory reset when you update the Equinox?

Has anyone done any testing to see if there is any advantages of using multi to to find a deep iffy high conductor then switching over to 4 khz to see if they get a better sounding hit on the target? Or does one run in 4 khz and if they hit a deep high conductor target like a possible silver then go to multi to see if is worth investigating? Do you get more falsing using 4 khz over multi? Tom!, C

Wonder how the Tarsacci would do up against my Equinox 800 in my mild Indiana dirt? I do have areas I hunt that have lots of iron nails and other piece of rusty old iron. Just trying to see what those who have used the Tarsacci think when it comes to weather the Tarsacci would be a benefit to me vs my Equinox. Thanks

Steve H. You are correct. I should have said based on my ground conditions where I live being mild dirt 2 or 3 recover seems to work best for me.

My dirt is mild like his. If he can hit a freshly buried dime at 12 inches I would say his dirt is mild. I didn’t quit understand why his ground balance was all over the place and so different depending on what program he picked. I can see some difference but, to go from the 50’s to 2 or 3 something not right.

Tom D. always said recovery at 2 or 3 work best for depth. Plus if all possible run your sens to 23-25. Plus I would have liked to seen you use Park 1 in the single freqs with your settings like you did in Park 2. Seems like if Park 2 can hit that 12 inch dime in your dirt Park 1 should have to. Still enjoyed the video.

What I forgot to say is my finds in old and new sites have really gone up since I changed over to Tom D's suggested settings. I do swing slower than I did but, not at a snails pace. All I can say is deeper targets sound off better since I started using recovery speed at 2 and 3. And the depth I'm getting is defiantly better. Weather I'm using the 11 inch or 15 inch coil the Equinox

Got a permission to hunt a property where old timers claimed was the site of a old fairgrounds that went back to 1830's. Someone had built a 1896 home on the property and a barn and a few sheds. The old timers claimed they were told the fair was out in the field along the river. The field is probably 15 to 20 acres. So 3 of us using our Equinox 800's with the 11 inch coils then the 15 i
