I would love to see someone make some videos of the Equinox 800 using Park 1 and/or Beach 1 and also using a low recovery speed of 1-3, 0 iron bias, high sens. 23-25 using 50 tones using a slow swing in a old Park or some place to show depth on coins or other non ferrous targets using these settings and in a site with iron to show unmasking using these settings. Also using the 11 inch and 6 inch

Tom D. I have been using the Equinox 800 in Park 1 program with 50 tones lower recovery speed and high sens 0 iron bias with great results. I have been using the 11 inch coil and using a slow swing speed have recovered 6 silvers, 20 wheats and 2 IH's in a area that has trash and iron. My question is would using the 6 inch coil in this same area using a lower recovery speed, high sens. and sl

Tom D. When using the Equinox on wet or damp ground using a high sens., low recovery speed, 0 bias 50 tones and slow swing speed will iron sound better? Will you get more iron falsing when listening for high conductors like silver? Will it be harder to tell the difference from a old iron nail or silver? I know when the ground is dry it seems I get less iron falsing. Do you get more iron rap aroun

Went back to another old Park that I hunted earlier this year using Park 2 on the Equinox. This time I ran Park 1, recovery 3, bias 0 and sens. 25. Using Park 2 I pulled 1 silver and 2 wheats. This time I pulled 7 silvers and 9 wheats. Since using Tom D. settings along with a slower swing speed places I though weren't worth hunting have now become places I would happily hunt again. Every spo

Been using Tom D. setting and doing great with it. Just wondering in a large area could one use the same settings but, use the 15 inch coil on the Equinox? Would it help or hurt trying to hit the deep and some what masked good targets? Have some large areas I want to hunt. Didn't know if using a high sens. combined with a low recovery speed and 0 iron bias with the 15 inch coil would hit ha

Tom D. and others. If you are at a spot hunting lets say with my Equinox and your detector is acting a little erratic even after noise canceling and GB is it okay to use it that way? I noticed it when trying to run my sens. at 23-25. Was power lines above me and around me. Does it hurt the performance of the detector running it that way? Was using Tom D. settings in Park 1. Was just trying to get

Thought I would go over the same spot I hunted one more time to see what I missed. Used Park 1 with Tom D. settings. Last time if you remember I pulled 6 silver and 11 wheats. Ended up digging 1 more silver and 7 wheats. It's amazing that 2 months ago I was ready to give up on this site because the finds was slim to non. I used to use Park 2 5 tones every place I hunted. After using Park 1 a

Went back to the same spot I have been pounding for months using Beach 1. Pulled a lot of silvers and other old coins using Beach 1. This time I used Park 1, speed 3, bias 0, 50 tones, 25 sens. all metal and did a GB. Pulled 6 silvers and 11 wheats. It was like hunting this spot for the first time. It is truly amazing how changing your settings can make a difference in unmasking and hitting deepe

Tom D. I forgot to ask. When running Park 1 as you have recommended should one ground balance? I know Beach 1 is set on 0. Is there any other adjustment I should make to Park 1? Thanks

Tom D. I have one question for you. Based on everything you have shared with us me being a coin hunter with my goal being to find silver between Park 1 and Beach 1 which would be the best program to use and why? Neil Jones likes Beach 1. Is there any advantage to using Beach 1 over Park 1? Thanks

Went to a old park that most people don't hunting anymore. Wanted to try using recovery speed 2, sensitivity 25, iron bias 0 and I always run 50 tones in Beach 1. Slow swing speed. Ended up with 3 silvers and 6 wheats. All coins was 6 to 10 inches deep. All came in with a solid high tone. Lots of iron and trash in this old park. Didn't have any trouble telling the non ferrous from the f

Aaron I have never run my sensitivity higher than 22. When Neal told me to try 25 I'm like we shall see. But, I do run my Equinox in Beach 1 for land hunting and it does seem to run quit at a high sensitivity compared to some other programs.

NASA-Tom This way of using the Equinox is going against everything I was ever taught on running a detector in iron and trash. I was always told to use a high recovery speed and low sensitivity. Now I am being told to swing slow and brush the ground, use a slow recovery speed, 0 iron bias and high sensitivity. So far I have used this new technique in several of my old sites and my silver finds hav

Aaron I was using the standard coil. I told Neil Jones my experience I had changing the iron bias to 0 and recovery speed to 3. I told him I was using 22 sensitivity. He told me to go back over that same area using the slow sweep speed but, this time use speed 2, bias 0 and sensitivity 25. He said you will be very happy with what you find. Can't wait to give that a try.

Aaron The ground has lots of small pieces of old iron and nails and trash. The old coins were 5 to 12 inches deep. You had to move the coil slow to pick out the high tones. I also was using all metal to hear the grunt of the iron. The ground was very dry.

therover61 What was funny the spot I hunted was a area that all 3 of us pounded to death at every direction we could go in. When we got to this old park we wasn't expecting to find much. It wasn't until the end of the hunt that my friends seen what each other found. They both seen the spot I was hunting and they both was thinking the same thing. He isn't going to find anything i

Yesterday a few of us went to a old park we have been pounding for months now. When I first got the Equinox 800 I was using a recovery speed of 5-7 with iron bias set at 2-3. Pulled many of silver from this old park that others told us was hunted to the point that silver was very hard to find. I would say around 40. The last few times my friends and I have hunted there the silver finds seem to be

Neil Jones, tell Calabash when i use my settings i have it on zero bis and speed 1 and full sensitivity.
And with me its all about exagerating and amplifying the signals.
Slow speed in iron even for high conductors is very important.
Slower than he was showing.

Don’t know what to think about this shovel with a pin pointer built in. Don’t know weather I would use one. What do you all think?

Decided to sell my other Anfibio multi that comes with 11 inch coil. The Anfibio has only been used 3 times. Asking $750 shipped. Will ship US only and PayPal or
Bank debit credit card. I have decided that I click with the Equinox better than the Anfibio. Have always been a Minelab user. Just wanted to try something different. The Anfibio is a great detector but, it's just not for me. If

Semi retired. My wife and I own a Jewelry store. I’m 58 and my wife is 39. My wife runs the store most the time so that I can spend a lot of time doing what I enjoy.Metal detecting. When the weather is nice I’m out hunting. I thank god for my wife. Plus she doesn’t complain when I buy metal detectors.

Just purchased the Nokta Anfibio. I know it comes with the standard 11 inch coil. I ordered the 13.7 x 13 inch coil to get some extra depth and coverage. What I’m wanting now is a smaller coil for more unmasking in iron and trashy sites yet still get some good depth. So many smaller coils to pick from. Anyone have any recommendations plus should I go DD or concentric? I am a coin hunter and most
