Calabash what about the 15 inch coil over the 14 inch dime? Did you do any of the test in single frequencies with the Equinox to see it any of those hit better on the dime? Thanks

Calabash just wondering if you went over that 14 inch deep dime with the standard coil and 15 inch coil with the Equinox? Do you think the Anfibio would be a better silver coin detector than the Equinox on deep silver? Thanks

Was told by my Equinox dealer that my 15 inch coil will be here tomorrow. He has already shipped it. Looking forward to trying it out in some of the farm fields I have permission to hunt.

Calabash do you think the Equinox can hit high conductors just as good as the se pro, etrac and CTX? Your saying it doesn't out mask them on high conductors but, can it hit on them as good and as deep? If this is the case then the weight alone with the Equinox would be a reason to use it over the others for me. I personally have had great success finding high conductors as I have found 75 si

I got my Equinox 800 from Ed Huffman of Treasure Mountain detectors for $850 shipped. Have had it about 2 1/2 months. So far I have found 38 silvers, several LC's & IH's over a 150 wheats and tons of modern change. A lot of the coins I have found was in sites I pounded with the CTX and Deus. Sites that just quit producing now give up goodies. Am a land coin hunter so not much into d

I tried this test with my Equinox 800. I use Park 2 most the time for my coin hunting. I use a 5 tone and sometimes a 50 tone program. I noticed a tone drop when the quarter is straight up and vertical but as I slowly moved around the quarter with it standing straight up the tone goes to a high tone until I am vertical again. Only in 2 spots does the tone drop. I can get a sold tone all the

I seem to be getting about the same depth with the Equinox on coins as I do with my CTX. 9 to 10 inches on a dime or penny. The one thing I do notice about the Equinox is how it's able to find the good stuff better in the iron and trash than my CTX. So far in the last 2 months using the Equinox 800 I have pulled 27 silvers and lots of wheats and modern coins from sites I have hit hard with t

I've always noise cancelled my CTX on the ground but, Didn't know if I should with the Equinox. I know the manual says in the air but, that's what the manual said about the CTX when it came out.

My question is why did Keith noise cancel the Equinox on the ground? Which is the right way? In the air or on the ground? Want to make sure I'm doing it right.

Here is the reason I ask if 5 tones or 50 tones would work better for silver cherry picking or a coin program. In a 5 tone program if you set it up to high tone on everything lets say from 18 and up aren't you going to dig more junk vs using 50 tones? If I am in a site that has lots of trash or iron and I'm looking for coins and I have a pretty good ideal what vdi numbers come up for ce

Okay everyone question? I'm try in set up a silver cherry pick program and coin program with the Equinox 800. In a trashy or iron site which would make silvers pop out more. 5 tones or 50 tones? Also which would give you the least amount of iron falsing? I have been using Park 2 and 5 tones. Iron Bias on 2 or 3. But noticed I was getting some iron falsing off of deep iron targets. When I swi

Thanks Tom. Just got my Equinox 800 in and as soon as the weather permits I plan to start hunting some of my old sites. I am a coin hunter and have used the Explorer, Explorer 2, Explorer se, Etrac and CTX.

There's quite a bit of depth to be gained by simply lowering Target Recovery Response speeds.
So how low would the recovery speed need to be set on the Equinox 800 to equal the normal speed of the Explorer, etrac or CTX for detecting deep coin targets? I know you will lose separation but, is there a recovery speed that is comparable for cleaner sites?

Did anyone see the messages that customers got from Cabelas saying the orders have been put on back order until March 30. I guess people are canceling there orders and now wishing they had not cancelled there orders with there dealer. What a mess. Seen it on some of the Equinox groups on Facebook.

I started a North American Equinox users group on Facebook to have a site where everyone can share videos and programs and settings using the Equinox 800 and 600. I started the group 2 days ago and have 167 members. I also shared a link to Tom Dankowski's forum so anyone in my group can checkout what some experts think of the Equinox. If this isn't allowed Tom delete my post. Thanks

In the Equinox instruction manual on page 31 under typical target examples U.S. coins. It shows a 1 cent ID at 21. 10 cent 25. 25 cent 29. $1 at 30 and a .50 cent at 35. Isn't the .50 cent and $1 switched around? Doesn't make since that the .50 cent would ring in higher than the $1. Probably a misprint and a stupid question but, I thought I would ask anyway. Thanks
