The M8 coil has opened up a new realm......new World.......when coupled with Beach Mode - Low Conductors.
EQX in Beach Mode-1 with EQX-6" coil is no slouch; yet, Manticore Beach Mode - Low Conductors is next-Gen/next-level (especially with salt mitigation). Herein lies the difference: EQX w/6" coil & Beach Mode-1. IN the water...... you can (skillfully) get away with a Sens of 24.

Dan....... in short:
All Terrain - Low Conductors is more sensitive to tiny (low conductor) gold........ as compared to any of the beach Modes.
The beach Modes use a different grouping of frequencies ...... so as to BEST mitigate wet-salt (which is not as sensitive to gold...... as a non-beach Mode).
When you are in a wet-salt environment....... you have no choice but to mitigate wet-salt!

IDX....... I know exactly where you are coming from.
Yes...... solar flares can play a factor; yet, it's fairly minor.
In all of my years of analysis........ the absolute #1 contributing factor is: Silent Masking......via Silent EMI. (((And: Masking......with audible EMI))).
Yes......... you hit the nail-on-the-head when you said: Mr. Jones turned "ON" his A/C.

Josh........ I very-much understand rotating the electronics & battery pod 90-Degrees!!! (I used to swing a Excal underwater.......in stock configuration).
I (think) I may not be understanding the Anderson shaft. Does it move the battery & electronics HIGHER....... (up the shaft).......... more-so than the stock shaft? Like: up....under your armpit?

Josh.......... I'm a bit confused on your Excal suggestions. If you move the electronics out of the water..... then....,,,,, rotating the electronics/battery 90-Degrees is a moot point. It also means that the electronics/battery are no longer a paddle.

Manticore owners: Are you aware of the Magnum coil for the Manticore?.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,. and it'll so easily 'express' it's Magnum abilities in the wet-salt. This would be the M8 coil. It is different. This smaller coil 'sees' substantially less salt. , . , . , . which........ in turn.......... allows for Sens to be boosted quite a bit higher than what the standard/sto

FloridaSon..... MY BAD!!!! And REALLY bad!!!!!! You can NEVER use a All Terrain Mode for wet-salt. What makes it worse is: I even Proof-Read my post BEFORE posting!!! I had to go back.... and edit the message to correct it.
In any case....... what I meant to say is: Use Beach - Surf/Seawater Mode for deep silver. This is the lowest grouping of freq's (in the Simultaneous Multi Frequenc

Josh...... VERY good report! Also.......it sounds like you adapted to your specific (remote island) conditions very well.
My only question: How did the Manticore compare to the Excal? (IF you did any head-to-head).

It used to be e-bay.,.,., but e-bay has become sooooo expensive. And you need to do extra things on e-bay...... just to have your item(s) "show"....when searched for. Now...... I'm not sure what's the best place to sell silver coins. I would still think some form of a World Wide Web-site would be the best idea.

That would be of colossal magnitude. It is of a level of importance.....that is of a order-of-magnitude......that is incomprehensible.

Sounds like you did very well with those silver coins!
Silver coins are ABUNDANT in Florida..... with St. Augustine being the oldest city in the United States. Problem is...... the sink-rate in this sandbar State..... is horrendous. , . , . , . , especially when considered/compared to other parts of the Country.

WELL stated Scott!!! What a perfect (yet: horrific) example.
Capitalism sure can have its downfalls.
We can only hope/pray for a cure to be discovered for your condition.

All settings remain the same..... EXCEPT:
Beach Mode - Salt/Seawater Mode
The unit will Grnd Balance to the wet salt at a different point.
Keep Response Speed on 4 ...for the wet salt.
I would still always recommend Prospecting audio in the wet salt....for best allowability of higher/highest Sens settings.
Yes...... in dry sand...... I never use any beach settings. Always inland/All-Te

What bothers me is: I have 7 friends ..... unaffiliated to/with each other...... all within the past 14-Months....tell me: "I can no longer make ends meet". These are normal middle class America. (Most are veterans).
FYI = Two things that are NOT included in the Inflation Index:
1. Food
2. Fuel (gas)

In 1975..... I spent the 1964's and the silver-clad 1965-1969. (Never found/saw a 1970). In 1976...... I was in a 'pinch'......and spent the Franklin's.
I remember a coin shop in Falls Church, VA that would sell the common date Walking Liberty's for 55-Cents. In fact...... sometimes.....in change.... he would pay you back with the worn common-date Walkers & Franklin

Something I should document..... for the record.
I clearly remember going to the bank with $30 of paper money from odds/ends work.....as a kid. It was 1974....and I was 12 years old. I asked the bank: Could I please have $30 of brand new Half Dollars. The teller said: "No. They would have to put an order in.....to get new Half Dollars". Then she said: "We have rolls of Half Dolla

Ferrous Limits (Upper & Lower)
Tone selection
Recovery Speed

Sure.
Beach - Low Conductors is the MOST sensitive to gold (especially chains // small gold). Beach - Low Conductors is ALSO the MOST sensitive to the wet-salt.
Beach - Deep Mode is the deepest Mode to/for coins....... in a wet-salt environment.
Beach - Surf/Seawater Mode is the least sensitive to gold & wet-salt; yet, presents the greatest stability.
Beach - General is the 2nd highest

Josh....... I assume you are using the 11" coil. (This makes a huge difference in what settings to use).
IN the water (w/11" coil) you can get away with the following settings:
Beach = General
Recovery Speed = 4
Audio = Prospecting
Ground Balance the unit over some water.,.,.,.,., about 2-feet deep of water. , . , . , . , . with the coil bobbing method ABOVE the water (not &quo

airtemisa.......... The lighted screen of the Manticore ....does consume some power; yet, not that much. The user does have the option to change the lighting intensity.....(to include: OFF) in multiple increments. As far as the illuminated COLOR screen portion; yes, this is what consumes the most battery power .... specifically in the arena of 'illuminated screen'; yet, once again......

I have a entire full-length shaft assembly........ with 8" Tornado coil.
These look like the Anderson shafts; yet, I do not see any writings/embossing on the shaft(s).
