F 75, f a mode and the 5" DD "laser" coil is one deadly combination in heavy trash. The A T Pro with 5 x 8 coil or NEL Sharpshooter coil is no slouch, either. HH jim tn

In my ground and my type of trashy park hunting, I stay with the F 75, Omega and A T Pro. Nice comfortable swings and they have averaged me 130 + silver coins annually since retiring in 2006. HH jim tn

We bailed out! My wife and I were on St Simon's Island, Ga, from the 1st through yesterday and decided not to take a chance and deal with anything to do with Matthew, as a whole. Their whole beach has changed since we were there back in the winter. HH jim tn

The F 75 with the 5" coil works like a laser for me in trash and gets very nice depth. The A T Pro with a Sharpshooter coil does very well, too. HH jim tn

I agree, Brian. The Racer's and 75's are site relative. Although many of my old coin hunting spots have some good age, they have been in use up through modern times. Hence, depth is important and also being able to sift through layers of modern trash. And, I know the 75 platform pretty good. I've had one in my hands since the camo F 75 first came out. I'm with Brian, I believe Fisher will be coming out with something pretty outstanding in the near future. By the same token, so to speak, while I respect Brian's views on the Makro Racer, I didn't hold the Racer I had in the same high regards. Plain and simple, mine was not anywhere near as deep as my F 75 or even my A T Pro. And I gave it every chance running it almost daily for n

Check our Predator tools. They were the makers of the original Lesche before. I am on my 6th year with the serrated edge hand trowel and 9th year with the short Little Eagle relic shovel. I have found them to be better then the current Lesche. HH jim tn

Have really enjoyed following your days at the picnic ground. Now that is one heck of a coin spill. Any vacation time left? Continued good luck. HH jim tn

What kind of depth on coins size targets are you guys getting with the 5 x 10" coil? I want to try something between the 5" and 11" that I have for my Racer 1. Thanks, HH jim tn

I'm on my 3rd one as well and really never gave the tones much thought. They are what they are. Like Brian, I, too, use mostly 3H tones. Good luck, they are great detectors. HH jim tn

Gerald, you should do well with your game plan as you are not adversed to digging. Dan, though, is right on the class rings. On the 6a and 3d I had most I found were up into the penny range. Good luck, and yeah, it is hot out there. HH jim tn
