Its been a month and I'm still waiting for an "Informative talk" from the original poster. For a guy that says he wants to help people with their detecting, I'm sadly disappointed.

Ferrari Testarossas are pretty much individually hand built. Not built by the Thousands. 747 are more expensive than Piper Cubs. I think for the most part, for most types of detecting, my Equinox will run circles around the CTX.

OK, so I attended a seeded hunt sponsored by Minelab just before the release of the CTX. Minelab held a marketing program where they introduced the CTX and touted all its attributes . When it was handed to me I thought "what a beast, what a pig. I don't need GPS, I'll buy my own GPS if I want one". Now I know its an excellent detector when it comes to finding certain stuff, in

As popular as the Nox is, I was the only Nox user at a club hunt this past Saturday. 23 members showed up and I saw about 3 White's, an ORX, a couple of Tesoros, about 9 Garretts and the rest were an assortment of different Minelabs. Kinda weird as in another local club I belong too there's at least 8 or 10 Noxs. Well , like they say "you can lead a horse to water" .

Had to send in my Multi Kruzer control box as it had flooded on a lake trip. Van did a great job on getting me up and running again as he sent me a NEW control box.

You mentioned Overdriving detectors and a little something you lucked upon that works for you. How about starting an "informative talk" on one or both of these, or did you only post to complain about what other folks do?

I've had both the G2+ and the F19. Same machine except the grip. G2+ had the F75 type Handle mounted control while the F19 had the S rod mounted control box. I actually liked the F19 a little better as it felt more solid. Both are really good relic detectors. The only thing I didn't like was the volume was very soft using headphones. It didn't matter which of the 10 or so headphone

Nokta Detectors - Thank you very much for posting your video, and for producing a huge assortment of excellent detectors. I'v bought and used the Racer, Racer 2, Impact, Multi Kruzer and Multi Anfibio, I've been very impressed with each unit, so much so that I've had to buy and try each successive detector just to see the differences and to enjoy the performance enhancements that e

Nobody here is slamming Nokta/Makro or their products. They make great detectors. The comments were aimed at their Video only being on Facebook originally. Many of us "Old Timers" don't feel a need to tell the world what we had for dinner last night or care to Post Selfies.

And that's not all that was found at that ghost town with the Nox 800 when he was there but I don't do videos. My Nox 800 found a 1911 Barber dime, 1901 One Franc, T&G RR seal, Pocket watch and burned Mercury dime. Good time Brian! I'm heading back week after next.
PS Thanks for the video! Wish I was more Tech savvy, but I'm ooooold.

From now on, if anyone asks me how long I've been detecting, I'll tell them "just a year or two". That way they'll think I'm really knowledgeable about detecting.

In over forty years of detecting with many - many different detector brands, I've only ever had a Minelab coil cable take a crap. I've never had that problem with any other. I hope my Nox cables hold up better.

I'm going to guess that a few folks here have been testing the Simplex. Time will tell. I have had the Nox 800 since it came out. I think it's a truly great detector but so have been the Nokta/Makro detectors I've had and still have. I 'm super happy with my Multi Kruzer and it's staying in my arsenal right next to my Nox. I'll stick my neck out and say I think the S

I started using the Nox 800 in Park 1 with the factory setting of 6 on the I/B. Most all my detecting is now done around old home sites, lots, and ghost town sites. As I became more familiar with the Nox, I started lowering the I/B gradually and now only run it at "0". I found that by running the lower I/B that I could go back to areas I had hunted before and continue to pull more non-f

My V3 was also a "Vision" when I bought it. Had to send it to White's for the upgrade to V3i software. I did an awful lot of testing and experimenting to develop my settings for the V3i / BigFoot coil combo. It was actually the BigFoot coil that was the magic on the V. The latest BigFoot was not designed to be run on the V. It was designed for the DFX, MXT, and M6 detectors. The Se

I don't think there's another detector that can compete with the V3i for hunting fresh drops of coins and jewelry when it's mated with the BigFoot coil. I used the V3i for just that task from 2009 until about two years ago. I figured White's had to be coming out with a new Top of the Line detector so I sold mine while it was still their top dog. Silly me, like playing the stoc

All the Nox needs is an "S" rod. I added a White's center S rod and lower rod and it made a huge difference in the way it swings. I don't understand why folks would make their detector heavier to make it swing better. I understand the whole "better balance" thing but why not keep it light and improve the swing?

If you ever read the fine print on the LRL's, it usually says they can be returned for a 50% restocking fee. I think they only ever make one unit. Sold for $5,000 and returned. Seller keeps the $2,500 restocking fee. Refurbish the unit and resell it as new for $5,000 again. What a racket! Wish I had thought of it.
